I have digital cable and Once I clicked on something that was coming on later so that I could have a reminder timer, and I saw the option to record the program. I clicked record to see what it was and it said, "Program your VCR manually now for this recording to be successful." Does this mean I have DVR?

i have like a lot of problems with my mom. Last night, I had scissors in the bathroom, and I started to cut, and it hurts a lot, even if it wasn't bleeding, but it made a mark on my wrist. my mom does a lot of things to me that hurts.

1. I can't talk to her seriously.

2. She wouldn't let me start doing girl stuff(like shaving on my legs coz she think i'm being too vain)

3. When I say the phrase 'get tampons'. She goes like 'What!?' coz she never used it before.

4. She says 'You can date but guys should ask you out at out house.'

5. She goes in to my diaries and reads it.

6. She keeps on checking on my Myspace profile.

7. When I have my period, she won't let me skip Gym, coz she says 'You have to go through it like I did.'

8. She won't let me lock myself in my room, AND she doesn't even want me to lock the stupid door.

9. She never waited for me to go watch a movie.

10. She never talks to my Dad. They are not divorced, and she won't talk to us about it.

Muslims state that the Bible cannot be believed because it has been "corrupted" by mankind. Although this is a creative idea, I am wondering if this principal could not be applied to the Qu'ran also? Muhammad was illiterate, so obviously he had to dictate his words for another to write. Why could not the Qu'ran then be "corrupted" ? In this case the one who dictated the words and the one who wrote them were also of "mankind". So does this standard apply to the Qu'ran as it does to the Bible?

I'm with my b/f for 3 months now. About 2 months before we got together he broke up with his ex with whom he had been together for 6 months. Now he's constantly talking about her,tells me what she did, compares us, even showed me pictures of hers (which he still has on his pc and cellphone).I also know that she's much prettier than me.
Well,I talked to him about how i feel and i told him i think he still wants her.He told me that i was wrong + assured me that he doesn't feel anything at all about her and wants me, and he would stop talking about her.And also told me if he had the chance to be again with her he would soooo not do it.
BUT after some days he started talking again about her and he is still doing it. Now i don't tell him anything about this fact, i act to be indifferent and I even talk with him about her.
Anw, i don't know why he's talking so much about her and now I have a complex and feel that i cant be compared with her. WHY IS HE DOING THIS?!?!
