Is the team going to make it? How long since you tied the knot?

my marriage is great been the best thing that ever happened to me. Seems like we been married forever and hopefully will be forever and ever. My wife is my best friend and the coolness of my eyes. Each time I look at her she brings a smile to my face. Love seems to be growing stronger day by day.

We have been married for 2 years and 7 months and it has been one rocky marriage. At times it seems as if the marriage is headed to the dumpster of marital history, but all in all I love my husband and I am willing to stay as long as it takes to get this marriage back on the road. Part of the problems are my fault and part of the problems are his fault. You have to believe in your marriage and be willing to change, which both of us are having a hard time doing.

We have rolled up the dumpster and I'm trying to get him in there. We have been married for over 20 years off and on off and on . Yadda Yadda Need this to be over so I can get back to being myself again. I didn't like the person the marriage was turning me into.

36 years for us, and we're rockin' and rollin' on a regular basis.

You got it right with the "team" reference. It's got to be more about "we" than "me."

In order to survive in the long run, couples need to have a sufficient amount of compromise, sympathy and forgiveness. Everyone's going to screw up on occasion, and the critical thing is being able to learn from the mistake (if there is anything to learn from it), to forgive, and to move forward.

Too many couples just aren't emotionally mature, but they didn't find that out prior to tying the knot.

It's awesome, but we're not actually married but living together with commitment. We've been together 2 years and hoping to make it another 70 if life permits ;)
