it may sound lime a daft question BUT someone told me that our blood is blue (which is why our veins are that colour) but then when it comes into contact with oxygen there is a chemical reaction which turns it red! am i being lied too??!!

I have a very serious question regarding blood draws with syringes. I have had my blood drawn several times before but never really made a big deal out of it until I heard a friend of mine saying that he always pays attention and sees if the nurse is opening a new syringe in front of him...I never paid attention before to this thing which I guess was very stupid of me !

Now to my question...how do they make sure they dont make the mistake of re-using the syringe...I mean the mistake can be so easily done..the nurse uses the syringe, transfers the blood to the test tube, recaps the empty syringe, and then without paying attention put the syringe on the table instead of putting it in the disposer....and then, when the next patient comes, the nurse uses the same syringe on him...

how do u guys make sure u dont make this mistake ! I mean it is sooooooooo doable....

I am freaked out !

i have a laptop. my brother has a computer which connected to the internet with broadband. i have the Belkin 802.11g Wireless Notebook Network Card, which i want to install on my laptop.

i inserted the cd in the laptop cd drive and installed the Belkin software. i also inserted the network card in the laptop slot when requested to do so.

when i click on the internet explorer icon and type in a http address, i get the page stating "page currently unavaiable"?

what do i have to do in order to get internet access on my laptop through my brothers computer? he already has a router.

really stop u doing everyhting u wanted to do? Im 26 weeks pregnant, andI hear so many people say that once the baby is here your sex life will disapear, u won't be a ble to travel, u won't have any money, u won't be able to sleep, blah blah blah. But surely, with exception of maybe the first year, u can still do all the things u want to in life? I have travelled in my life, but plan to do a lot more, and can't wait to take baby along for the cultural experience. In fact, i would imagine it would be more fun with your child along!! i really can't see that having a baby should stop me doing anything really, surely its a state of mind to a degree... if u think u can't/shouldn't do it, then u won't!!!
