Half Crown was valued at the time, twelve and a half new pence but now since they are no longer legal tender they are worthless unless that is to a collector, and if you take them to a bank they could/might refuse to accept them since they are no longer legal tender and worthless. hope this helps you. good luck.

Check the dates and look in a reference book at a library. They are only actually worth 12 and a 1/2 pence but some are worth a great deal of money.A friend of mine collects coins and notes and he has quite a lot of half crowns mainly silver,

Half a crown now I have not heard that for a long time so from my memory I will say it was two shillings and sixpence which would be around twelve and a half pence of todays money. My memory is old but I could possibly be correct on this one so in which case they will be of sentimental value to you no doubt.

Depends on who's crown it was. You didn't give us a weight. So, if it were, say, The Kings Crown of England, then the worth of half of it would be, less the 1409 diamonds and 148 pearls that would be half of the full crown's, approximately $12,971.40 US at current gold prices. It would certainly exceed any accumulated value of all its contents combined if it were to remain whole. Too bad somebody went and cut them in half.

Now if the crown were teeth, then the approximate value of half crowns, provided they are gold again, would be less than $20 at most, given a full large crown weighing no more than a gram.

But really, it just depends on what year they are. Check EBay for similar coins. That will give you an idea of any worth at all. Then, if you see many similar coins that are selling for any real value, take them to a local coin dealer and ask him or her to appraise them.

In decimal value a Half Crown is twelve and a half pence. To find out any value you would have to find coin collectors possibly in Yellow Pages or the newsagents have coin collecting magazines.
