becomes:

-147 - 2744 + 16 = 2907

but if you do the problem the original way it's written, it equals -2875.

-147 - 2744 + 16 = -2875

So why do I have to do it this way to get the correct answer?

147 + 2744 + 16 = 2907

What happened to 147 being negative? How can I tell when to add the absolute value? How do I know when to switch adding to subtracting or vice versa?

all i can say is time is running out and the childern of the future are in desprate need of learning self respect. respect for others, proper manners , and or values.... this is a searious thing as i look around. the childern of today learn how to live the street way. instead of the right way. today nobody has trust in one another and thats very bad. my charity acts as a youth facility where everybody helps each other. people helping people.kind of a skills trade. you volunteer your time to teach and you get rewarded , but not with money....theres a whole lot more to this, and it creates this circle and will help so many people in the future. i've asked some of my friends what they think of all this idea i have and they can't believe how good it sounds. so please somebody direct me in the right direction.

Do you Understand that many dog breeds did not exist without mankind? Do you know that since dogs were domesticated, they have been bred to better suit humans for help. They are vastly different now than what dogs were 10000 years ago. Now since you obviously do not believe evolutionary theory in at least some sort of principle, how can you explain this? Did other breeds just die out......then how did the yorkshire terriers survive so well? Did they just start selective animal breeding with Adam and Eve?......And did you also know that not all dogs can breed together (sometimes physically, but often genetically they are too different). Why do you believe that the earth is about 6-10 thousand years old? I'll tell you what the 6000 years you are referring to is: It is the first geneology of the people which are now the Jews..........Are Creationists just afraid to open up and assess the situation......or at least think about what I have said? I am overweight and I did a pharmacy do it yourself test. The diastolic was normal but the systolic was 130 and my heart rate was 101. I dont have insurance so I cant go to the doctor but I would pay to go if this is considered high.

So about 4 weeks ago my girlfriend had her period and ended on a thursday. We had unprotected sex on saturday i know stupid you dont need to tell me. She took the plan b on tteusday which was three days after we had sex. the next week she had the side affect of the heavier dark brown period which is a side affect. but then the next day her period went back to normal color and ended the next friday. That was a week ago. So this week she said that she thinks her boobs are growing which could be happening but that is also a sign of pregnancy. She said that she has been waking up the last couple days with migrains as well. And she has been really tired She also has montgomery glands around her nipples which are normal even if not pregnant but they are stick out more. its the 3rd week since we had sex so she took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. But if anyone has had experience with this I would like to know if its normal or if she could be preganant. i know go to a doctor.
