At the moment i wouldn't upgrade because there are bound to be glitches and they need to be fixed. I would wait for a couple months before buying and upgrading to Vista. They have to fix any major glitches before people will really start buying it.

Vista kind of reminds me of the bumper to bumper warranty you can purchase with a new car. Of course they are not going to tell you that once you get in and drive it off the lot you violated the warranty. They just want more of your money.
I am beginning to think Vista is for indecisive people. Try opening a program, you get a pop up that amounts to, are you sure you really want to go there?
Or it could be that Vista was designed to wear out a mouse one click sooner on every program in the OS.
Or maybe I should have bought a Mac.

IMHO (I My Humble Opinion) Vista is rather new and may have a few glitches to it.Like any NEW program there are fixes and updates. As for me, I have operated many systems from DOS 4.0 up to and including XP PROFESSIONAL. Personally I would stay in the xp family for now until the upates and patches are in place.

Always the new versions of Microsoft Windows has been improved considerably - so if you have the Minimum 512RAM and 1,5Ghz processor - then you should convert to Windows Vista.
I bought Windows Vista about one week ago... and is awesome! The money I spent for really worth.

No no no no no no no.
I just did....Vista SUCKS.
Sorry, true. I'm trying to get my laptop OS 'downgraded' to XP Pro because Vista is a VERY poorly tested system. I'm having nothing but troubles with my brand new laptop with Vista Home Premium on it...

I have both XP and Vista.
I prefer XP. Vista will take some getting use to. Plus, it takes a while to install Vista.
Good luck.

I don't think you should switch to Vista,it has some issues that need to be worked out,you should just wait awhile like I am doing, let the others deal with the issues :)
