What is the limit time for a cheer competition (tournament)?
How many routine they can do?
How the performance counted by the judges? (the points)
What is the weight needed for a person to be a cheerleader?
What type of routine they usually do?

P/s: I'm trying to connect Cheerleading with Mathematics so it would be more interesting..
: Any suggesting Math formula are welcome!

Cheerleading competitions can range anywhere from 2 to 3 minutes depending upon the squad classifications. Midget leagues generally have shorter competitions.

In our last competition, we were to do a cheer, chant, tumbling routine, and end with a chant. This was all to be done in a 3 minute time frame.

We were judged on a variety of factors:
Tumbling abilities
Precision in movement
Knowledge of routine
Vocalization
Crowd involvement
Jumps: each girl had to perform at last one jump

There are no weight limitations on cheerleaders, however, they are usually fit and do extensive training to keep their bodies in top form.

I am not sure how you can connect this with Mathematics, but most of our routines are set to an 8 count, with major moves
( pyramid liberty or backtucks etc.) happening on the 4 and 8.

Routines are usually set to music that is fairly aggressive and can run as high as 140-150 bpm (beats per minute). These routines generally run from 30 seconds to 1 minute. This music is called a MIX...because it is generally composed of several pieces of music fused together with various unusual sounds that give the routine a bit of flair.

Coaches have to be cautious in timing because cheerleaders will often speed things during a competition because they are excited or anxious. If I am given a minimum time limit of 2 1/2 minutes and a maximum of 3 minutes, I generally choreograph a competition to run about 2 minutes and 50 seconds.

I hope that this helps!

Time limit could range from 2 mins 30 secs to 3 mins
They do one routine unless they have different squads on different levels and then it depends how many routines they do
Usually there are like 3-8 judges and they score in each category (ex: jumps, difficulty, tumbling, etc) and its out of 10 points making their sheets worth 100. but it is different everywhere
there is no weight needed
The rountine usually consists of stunts, dance, jumps, and tumbling and the transistions to and from each.

Hope that helps you out some
