Atheism is to religion as Conservatism is to Liberalism.

I know this sounds odd and I don't necessarily believe it in it's pure form but consider this:

Atheism limits their belief to that which is proven of Science. (conservitive)

Theist choose to belive that which is not yet proven of men but which is confirmed of the Spirit. (Liberal)

If this is true then why does it seem that in practice, most atheist are liberals based in a conservitive belief system and most Theist are consrtvitives based in a liberal belief set?

Often in practice they are at the exteem end of the views that are of opposet polarity to their beleif system?

These are some really interesting answers! Thanks, As I stated I do not necessarily believe this but wondered id it was a good analogy. I guess my difficulty with atheism is that it is not definable as it is a disbelief having no paramiters other than denial of God. At least that is what Webster says. Is there more?

I'm thinking of moving out of So. California and I want to move somewhere where it is much less expensive, I can have horses, and still have a good job. I'm really an office person by profession. I have driven through many states but is seems like the most smaller towns wouldn't have work for me. - So, if you are home schooling your children, how do they prepare themselves for University requirements?

- Is it best to just enrol them in high school at say grade 10 so they can establish a GPA for a few years prior to graduation?

- Or is it better/easier for them to do some kind of equivalency tests in order to enter University (that sounds like it would be more difficult as tests would be all lumped together, while three years of school would be spread out)?

Ive been breast feeding since birth (2 weeks 2 days), the first week all was well, no problems blahblah. But about 5 days ago or so my nipples started hurting like holy freaking hell.

To be expected obviously (my le leche leader said all is well, and it will pass), my question is, how long should it take for them to toughen up and stop hurting?

My little guy has quite the newborn over bite so his latch always leaves his bottom lip farther in than what would be nice.. lol. I invested in some lanolin, stuff REALLY helped alot.

How long did you go with sore nipples? Its getting hard not to throw in the towel and whip out a bottle and some formula.

Also, how long before he eats a quicker meal and less often? 2-3 months? never? lol.
