My husband and I used the pull out method for over 6 years and didn't get pregnant. November 20 he didn't pull it out, and now I am 12 weeks pregnant based on my LMP.

Doesn't neccesarily mean either of you are infertile at all.

thats the method that my husband and i used. im now 32 weeks pregnant. same with my friend, they used pull-out, and now she has a 1 yr old daughter. so the only protection is condoms or birth control. i think that not getting pregnant for 10 yrs with this method might suggest a problem with one of you guys' fertility. id go get checked if your trying to get pregnant!

Don't know what your chances are, but it was only 2 months for me to get pregnant with that method! My boyfriend (then, now husband) had waited a while to have sex and both were tested for STDs and HIV and both clean. So we thought the pull out would be safe....lol, NOPE! Good Luck though! It does depend though our doctor said. A lower sperm count, older man, medications, drugs, alcohol use can all effect how well a man's sperm mobility is and for sperm to be in the pre ejactulation fluid, the man has to have a high mobility rate.

We were practicing the pull out method because I we've done that before and no babies until on my birthday I found out I was pregnant so I know first hand the pull out method got me pregnant! I got pregnant with the pull out method. We did it twice and I think I got pregnant the second time. If you havent gotten pregnant in 10 years he eiether knows what he is doing or there is a fertility problem.

well my husband and i have been using the pull out method for almost 6 years now without me getting pregnant however the first time that he didn't pull out i got pregnant in 2005 which ended in miscarriage.
I think if you do it in time, you won't get pregnant. I am 27 years old and only have one child & have not been on birth control in almost 7 years. (Have one 5 year old son)
The withdrawel method is like 85% effective.

The pull out method is not an effective means of birth control. You need to have a fertility work up.

Well since y'all have been together 10 years using only this method of birth control which is very, very ifffy as far as B.C. I think that one of you may have a problem. If you want to conceive now, I recommend that one or both of you see a doctor.
Best wishes & God bless!!

We did it for 1 1/2 years and got pregnant. I would say you have a 50/50 chance each month.

well, one would think that if you havent used anything else then that, then it would work. my husband and i did that for about 6 months, and nothing happened, but it could have just been luck... i wouldnt rely on it, because i have been told by MANY doctors that it doesnt work and if you dont get pregnant there maybe be a fertile problem with one or the other partner...
