I didn't write this poem, but it was mentioned in a book I read so I looked it up online. God is there for us. I really like it- what are your thoughts on it?

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”

So, there's this guy I know, and I really like him. We live really close to each other, and we hang out almost every day. Whenever we're alone, he acts really flirty with me, and we always cuddle, but when we're with friends, he acts like I'm just.. there. It sort of seems like he likes me, and when I talk to my friends, they think he does, too, but I don't think he knows that I like him. How should I act around him to let him know that I like him, without being extremely straight forward?

If all the president's of the past where running in the next election, which one would you vote for, and why?

I like Teddy Roosevelt, he would do everything he could to fix the ecology and didn't take any guff off anyone. Besides anyone that can get away with saying "Bully" has to be the man.

About 6 months ago my dog got into some shrubs that were home to a hive of bumble bees and he got stung once or twice, not a big deal. He got over the physical effects of the experience but now and again he runs around the house as if he's dodging bees, swatting at his head while he ducks and rolls as if they're chasing him again. I've ask my vet and he doesn't have any suggestions as to why or how to get him to stop. I was just curious if anyone else had experienced anything like this with their pets. I feel terrible about it because it's hillarious to watch him go at it for five minutes at a time but I would help him if I knew how. Thanks!!

I understand that to lose weight you must eat well and exerise. I have about 2stone that I wish to lose, in order to feel happier with my body. I'm not that overweigth that it is affecting my health but wish to feel comfotable in my clothes. Now I have tried everydiet.so please dont attach any southbeach diet crap! I did the atkin diet, which did work 2yr ago but for some reason not now!. So let me tell you what my day is like and I would be glad for a scheduled diet to fit in with my day. Up at 6am 15min walk with the dog then I would have black coffee and porriage. then I would walk my son to school then onto the train station to work, so all in all another 20min walk. I get no lunch break at work as Im part time, so I may get a 5min break for tea. back to pick my son up and get home around 4-430pm. I then cook dinner (all homemade cooking) then I do my house work/ironing ect...homework with the kids.then bath and bed around 10.30pm. I take a multi vit/minerals. and 8glass water.!

As a teenager, my face was perfect. Around the age of 20, I started getting acne. Now I am 35 and have been battling it for 15 years. The breakouts are sometimes mild, sometimes severe (I am going through a severe period now). In 2003, I switched to Proactiv and it worked wonders...but as of 6 months ago, it seems to quit working and I can count about 10 very large red bumps on my face now. (Yucky to look at). I'm convinced I have a hormonal issue causing this - yes, it does strike more at a certain time of the month. BUT, my question to you today is for those of you who have this problem...or know of someone with this problem...what have you done to make it better? Please be specific...and if a prescription drug, please let me know that as well (I'm not against asking my doctor for the prescription). P.S. - I'd love to hear back from anyone recently prescribed with the new birth control pill/acne medication Yaz. I think it was just approved by the FDA.

I really don't know what to do anymore. I still have feelings for my ex-boyfriend but I don't know if it would be a good idea to tell him. When we broke up, we both thought it wasn't working out anymore. I don't know if we just needed a break?? I told him yesterday that I needed to talk to him, so he called me .. but I just couldn't tell him on the phone. This has been bothering me for a long time and I can't stop thinking about him. Maybe it is just part of the process? I know that he's not over it either. This is driving me crazy ...

I was out last night with work colleagues and a girl who I work with said she wanted to clear the air (I thought everything was ok). She said to me:

She wants us to get on - at work and outside
Told me that I should drop the 'attitude'
She wants to trust me and hopes that I don't back stab her e.g. talk about her behind her back
She wants us to get to know each other better

When we're alone we find it difficult to talk to each other and it goes silent ASAP.(happened today at work!)

Each time we talk, I find it more uncomfortable/difficult as I don't know what to say! She's asked if I'd go to her birthday bash in a few weeks - I don't know what to say???

Why did she feel the need to 'clear the air'???
Suggestions on how to deal with this???

p.s. she has a Boyfriend of 2 years.Colleagues say we have a love/hate WORK relationship and that we do flirt with each other-but it don't mean nothing!

Says she don't do 1 night stands - I don't believe she fancies me.........
