if he's with someone else, then don't. but if he's still single, then tell him. you have nothing to lose by trying, and it may work out this time.

Generally speaking, when you break up, it is for a reason(s). I have found that getting back together with an ex, only exposes those reasons again. When we break up, we tend to remember the good things, and not the crappy things of our relationship. I think that is human nature.
Sure it is OK to tell him. Why the hell would you think it is not? It is not now, nor will it ever be if you you can not talk to him about things. I guess like most women, you think he should just 'know' how you are feeling right now, without you telling him and adjust accordingly.
Yes, it is part of breaking up a relationship to still have feelings and miss that person, until you are over it and start dating again or really move on.
But if you want to pursue it, stop being such a p*ssy, and do it, try it out on a limited basis, remember why you wanted out before, and closely look at those thing, if they have not changed, no reason to get in too deep.

MAYBE YOU DID JUST NEED THE BREAK, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE STILL FRIENDLY TOWARDS EACH OTHER. TELL HIM FACE TO FACE BUT MAKE SURE YOU BOTH UNDERSTAND THE SITUATION, MAKE SURE YOU TELL HIM THAT THIS WOULD JUST BE A SECOND TRY,IF EITHER OF YOU DON'T ENJOY EACH OTHERS COMPANY AFTER A WHILE LIKE LAST TIME IT WILL BE A MUTUAL BREAK. AT LEAST YOU CAN GET IT OFF YOUR MIND AND IF HE IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING YOU COULD GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY.

its part of the process, try to find out from friends how he's doing
ask yourself y did we brake up
on a break, tht could be a good thing make you think is he the one, again try to find out what he is going thru at this time, if he does care then his not teh one
but if he's hurting like you are, then talk to him

It's part of the process of breaking-up. You need time away from him (with NO contact) to get over all your feelings for him.
I would suggest you let sleeping dogs lie and leave him alone, for your and his sake. Odds are he would blow you off if he broke-up with you (or it was mutual).

These things are best done in person rather than on the phone. You would be better of spending time with him first before jumping into anything new.

You are not alone. I am still in love with my ex-girlfriend. She knows it and is cool with it.
