I'm afraid to leave her alone in the apt. or car for that long and I don't have anyone to watch her for me. Will I have to keep skipping church until she's trained?

The puppy needs to be crate trained. That is also the best way to house break a puppy. My dog is 12 years old now and still loves her crate. That is where she stashes her treats and toys. The crate is where she heads when she wants a nap, to be alone, or when the vacuum cleaner comes out. The crate is where she stayed while recuperating from knee surgery. The door hasn't been closed since she was a puppy, but it is her private space and she seeks it out frequently.

Leave the pup in the bathroom with some water and food. Since your at church anyway, you could say a prayer for your little four legged friend. Let me just say that there are millions of cats and dogs living out on the street....your little pup has a great life being inside and having a loving master. Don't skip church for that. If you keep missing church your going to wind up listening to Marilyn Manson music and completely strung out on drugs. Dont listen to the CRATE PEOPLE....YOUR ALL WRONG ABOUT THAT CRATE THING.

Hopefully your puppy has a crate. That would be the best place to keep your pup while you are out. Also, put a few toys, and perhaps a small blanket, or something with your scent on it in to the crate too. Crates are all around good training for pups.

i am no expert on this subject i only have personal experience to go on. When i got my puppy 10 years ago, i also got a crate. i made it very comfortable for her w/a warm blanket and also a large stuffed animal so she didn't feel alone. i never had any problems w/my puppy chewing on anything or not wanting to go into the crate. while you are home w/your puppy keep the crate door open so she/he feels free to come and go and doesn't feel like she/he is being locked in. it will become a safe haven for your puppy, it's own personal space. when you go to church, put some toys in w/her/him and close the door. your puppy will probably go to sleep until you return. i highly endorse crate training. worked for me.

Crate train the puppy ! It will feel like this is his den and feel safe and secure when he is left alone in it. Also, give him plenty of exercise before you go to church and he should sleep most of the time while your away :D

Yes, you may have to miss some services to keep and eye on your puppy. Being only 10 weeks old, the dog can cause a lot of messes in more than one way. Don't feel bad about missing services, it won't make you a bad christian.

Dogs generally do not like using the bathroom where they eat and sleep. Train him in a crate, dog cage, or small kennel. Do not leave food and water in the crate it sends the wrong message. The puppy will not die if you leave him alone for a short period of time.
GOOD LUCK!!!

You should crate train your dog. If you don't have a crate sitting around at the moment, you can lock her in the bathroom for a couple hours while you are at church. Dog proof the room to make it safe and make sure to close the lid of the toilet so she doesn't fall in and drown.

I was the same way when I first got my puppy! I just kept her in my room with the tv on and a lot of toys to occupy her time with! Dont miss church! :) She will be ok. Just make sure you keep all hazardous out of her way and make sure she has a lot of toys to keep her occupied while you're out.

I put my 3 year old yorkie in his cage when we go anywhere for a long amount of time even though he's trained that way he's not tempted to do anything we would approve of
