When I was poor, young, uneducated, and rebellious, many Liberal Democrats would call me "Friend" and seek to include me in all sorts of party politics. When I became educated, upper-middle class, attended church regularly, and suggested that the party never be apologists for self-destructive behavior, many called me a "House N*gger."
When I was poor, young, uneducated, and rebellious, many Conservative Republicans would call me a "Ghetto N*gger" and seek to exclude me from their party politics. When I became educated, upper-middle class, attended church regularly, and suggested that the party never be apologists for self-destructive behavior, they called me "Friend" and offered me employment and positions of influence.
I've sided with the Conservative Republicans because, in the end, they embraced my success and maturation of values. The Liberal Democrats only seemed happy with me when I reminded them of their household pet.
