Days Trips from South Lake Tahoe?

We are going back to So Lake Tahoe again this May for vacation and interested in doing a day trip somewhere. We have done all the Lake activities over the course of our last 3 visits so we are ready to venture out farther to broaden our horizions. Any suggestions?!

Where can I download efficent ROMs for Kawaks arcade emulator?

I've been looking all over for ROMs to play Capcom and NeoGeo games on Kawaks Emulator, but a lot of them don't work. Is there a place to get ROMs that work better, or is there something I'm not doing?

What do dates mean in dreams?

I've had a dream where I dream something occurs in 2033.

Both times, I've used a small, dice-like crystal. It is rounded on one end, a point on the other (like a cone with the base sticking out). I throw it, and I see the wall nearby turn into a date, "Ma (March? May? I can't remember), (13? 17?), 2033. I see war machines near the dates, but I know something extremely bad was going on. At that time, I will be 46 or 45, depending on the month, but in the dream I think of how I will be 50.

If other dates (in dreams) are seen in the future, are they signs of possible prophecy, or are they unconcious turning points that I already expect, and am concerned with?

Why do I find this so remarkable?

Not too long ago, after careful appeals to the bible, Christian authorities declared African-Americans to be soul-less. The slavery trade, a trickle at the time, suddenly went into overdrive.

My question is this. After being enslaved, raped, displaced, beaten, killed, maimed and treated as a no-class citizen, why are African-Americans (as a demographic) among the most rabid followers of a religion that their oppressors forced on them?

I mean no disrespect - zero - none - but the notion stumps me. Any ideas?

Is the New Testament a rejection of "Jewishness?"?

In the OT you get Ezekiel, Rachel, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, and a host of other old names. Then, here comes the NT, and we get: Mary and Joe. And Mary's mom, Ann. Granted Jesus' name is still a bit odd, but his followers are Pete, Jim, John, Matt... you getting the picture? And notice: the ones who betray Jesus : Judas, Caiaphas, Annas. Hmm. Any thoughts?
