I left some freshly cooked chicken out last night and put it in the fridge this morning. It must have been out for about 11 hours. Is it still safe to eat?

moi first? it's kinda odd, but every now and again, i have to go back to the main screen on the computer and click the refresh button to make sure all the icons on the desktop are in order, i also have to fix any dog's ears on pages, drives me mad otherwise and i have this really annoying habit of starting completely afresh if i make a mistake while writing, bloody crazy yes

It always puzzles me a lot. How do people become US senators, congressmen, and governors? Do they all have to go to Yale/Harvard law schools? How do they get their political parties to nominate them for these positions? How to get involved so that people can be nominated for these positions? Do people need to be filthy rich in order to run for these positions?

An old farmer, attending a fair with his wife, Bessie, was much taken with the open-cockpit airplane in which fairgoers could buy a ride. The £10 fee was rather steep for him, so he began to bargain with the pilot. The pilot, annoyed, said, "I'll make a deal with you. I'll take you up for nothing if you keep your mouths’ shut. But if either of you makes a single sound, you pay the full £10"

"Done," the farmer said.

The couple climbed into the plane and wedged themselves into the cockpit well behind the pilot's seat, and the pilot took off.

There was dead silence behind, which surprised the pilot, who counted on the splendid view to elicit cries of admiration and, therefore, his full fee. Suddenly, the pilot banked and went into a series of loops and spins designed to force cries of dismay from even the stoutest heart. Yet still there was absolute silence from the farmer and his wife. Defeated, the pilot landed his craft.

Helping the farmer out of the plane, the pilot said, "I have to hand it to you. You sure kept your mouths shut. Both"

"Yup," said the farmer, "For a minute there I thought Bessie'd give a little scream when she fell out."

I have an Eastern Box Turtle that is VERY active and seems extremely healthy, although he eats little and rarely deficates. I've had him for about 15 years now and he has never been a big eater, other than iceberg lettuce, which I try not to give him. When I sprinkle calcium on his food, he refuses to touch it or eats around that. When I give him food pellets or expensive canned turtle food from the pet store, he screws me over and avoids it. Sad to say, he seems to only like people food. In order to get him to eat SOMETHING, I sometimes give him stuff off of my plate, spaghetti and meatballs, cheesecake, etc. I know this is bad, but I've tried all the food varieties, fruit, live/dead worms and such. His environment is fine, lots of water, heat, UV light, size is fine etc and he seems very happy. He sprints from one end of his box to the other to greet me when I enter the room and is very comfortable around people. What should i do?

If every illegal in the US gets amnesty every 15 years or so, then what is the need of the USCIS ?
All the illegals have to do is wait for the next amnesty that will come 15 years from now, again.
Information: Reagan gave amnesty to 12 milions in the early 80s. Now amnesty will come to propably 35 milions. The next amnesty would most likely be in 2017 or 2020.

Alright..Before I ask let me first say Im not trying to insult ANYONE, I'm just curious. -- I was raised a christian, and my parents have always pounded it into my head that Im suppose to strongly dislike homosexuals. When I was young I didnt know any gay people so it wasnt a big deal. I didnt hate them, didnt really think about them. Now I'm 24 and even with years of being taught to "strongly dislike" them. I cannot. I have absolutely nothing against gay people....and my family thinks Im very wrong for this. My question is

--Why do alot of christians hate homosexuals? Even if you consider that life style a sin, why is that one sin any worse than any others? God said all sin is equally bad in his eyes (Im not saying whether I think it is or isnt a sin, Im saying even if you DO think its a sin) So why do some christians turn their back on the more acceptable sin but shun gay people for sinning? Im really just curious as to why some people see that as the "Ultimate" sin.
