it depends in your room temperature where your food had been left for such period of time. if your room temperature is cold enough to maintain it edible, its fine. but if your room temperature is warm enough to start bacteria to activate it's unsafe to eat. once you notice your cooked food is starting to have bubbles and omiting foul smell it is started to spoil and should discard it. regardless of newly cook or not.

It was certainly still safe to eat an hour or two after you bought it. But whether it is still safe now depends on how long it's been in the refrigerator. Leftovers shouldn't be eaten if they've been in the fridge more than 4 days.

It'll be fine, don't worry. Most important thing with chicken is to make sure it's fully cooked in the first place.

The FDA recommends that after 4 hours it should be discarded.
If it is less than 4 hours it should be reheated rapidly to 165 degrees.
I wouldn't eat it

I would be afraid of it, even tho it probably would be safe. I am conservative on this issue. My daughter in law from Thailand leaves left over roasted duck out for two days and then uses in another dish she cooks. None of us have ever gotten sick.

If it was covered it should be fine. Mind you I'd just make sure its heated again right trough before eating it, just to be on the safe side.

It's ok if you have a kitchen like mine - colder than outside brrrr and it's freezing at the moment. If you have heating in the kitchen so it was really warm I wouldn't eat it.

Yes, it's still OK to eat as long as it was covered to keep bugs, etc. off it. I've done the same thing and didn't get sick or anything.
