The present conventional marriage has turned out to be some kind of business transaction between the relatives of the partners. There is no emotional attachment between partners and everything goes on mechanically, without any feeling or bonding . Why is this so ?

You need to go back and look at what attracted you to your spouse in the first place and try to ignite the flame again. Not all marriages are like that, I know many couples who have been married for years and one would just die without the other.

Find time to bond with your spouse, make it a point to do a weekly or monthly activity or get-away together. Marriage is also a job, you have to make it work.

Every marriage has positive and negative aspects. No marriage on the earth is cent percent successful. The attitude towards the marital life will make the same a success or flop. If you have the mind to accept the individuality of your partner,his/her freedom of thought, his/her bondage with their siblings and parents, treatment and approach as your partner in all aspects, you can lead a satisfactory married life. You both are responsible for a good or bad married life.even if itis a bad marriage, you will be gaining the experience of a family life by entering into a marriage.so in my opinion a bad marriage is ofcourse better than no marriage.

Are you talking about one specific marriage or marriage in general?

If you’re talking about marriage in general, then where do you live? In the U.S. a marriage certainly is not a “of business transaction between the RELATIVES of the partners”

If you’re talking about one specific marriage, well...a “business transaction” has NOTHING to do with “feelings or bonding”

Marriage is what you make of it therefore a matrimonial alliance is subject to your interpersonal relationship and mutual understanding. no marriage can be determined good or bad unless you have tasted the fruit of marriage

it is far better to be alone than live in unhappiness. marriage without any feeling is no good and can't ever work. guess in certin cultures this is how they still do things, but it is wrong.
