I am getting married soon, and will have about 3 different bridal showers. My boss says I need to have a Sip N' see tea party afterwards to show off all the gifts I receive. I think it's tacky to invite people over just to "show off" all your gifts. If they want to see what I got, they can see it when the come visit me on a regular day or when I host a regular party. What do ya'll think?

i am jst married abt 4mths back..im 22 and my hubbi is 23years old. i used to have a number of ex boyfriends,compared to my hubby b4 marriage.. Do u think this will somehow affect my marriage life in future? Example: If we were to have a heated up conversations/argument.. do u think men have a habit to dig up the past and compare??(For ur info: i previously broke up with my hubbi wen we were in the dating stage to get along with his friend whom i thought was the right one for me.) In college...We went to the movies just us...we talked on im allll the time....i felt like we were getting along and flirting and maybe heading toward dateing/relationship....didn't talk to her much over break we she got back we went to the movies again...but always felt like she just thought we were doing friend stuff by ourselves?? I started to like her so one night after work I took some roses over that was left over at a wedding and gave them to her....she was real surprised...I was real nervous....when i got home she im me and basically told me she wanted to be friends....kinda sucked...should i just give up or still try to go after her...if so how do i go about it?? we just went to lunch today and things are normal and not awkward but still in friend mode......

Trying to do my taxes and a bit confused on what is considered a tax credit for the Hope Credit or Lifetime Credit. My qualified tuition and expenses are $3176.00 while the Scholarships/Grants is 2901.00. The difference is 275$. I did a student loan for $1750. Im not paying anything on the loan yet, im still in school. But my question is what do I get back? I understand you get money back on a loan, but not the scholarships if they are directed towards the tuition and expenses. I know the Hope Scholarship is directed towards to tuition, but not sure about the Pell. Im sure its a dumb longshot, but what if I claim my loans towards the tuition rather than the Pell? I've read all sorts of sources, but nothing really explains what is "priority" payment on tuition over another type of payment. Its probably more SAFE to just claim the 275$ on loans....GIVE ME SOME ADVICE! Thanks!

Our Noma 5+1+1 Programable Thermostat is set to 20. However, it continues to heat our house without stopping. We have to shut it off at the actual furnace to get it to turn off. The repairmen I spoke to said to just a buy a new one - I bought the Noma one today and it is still happening. They don't want to help. What do I do??
