Well, it is only complicated if you have problems chewing gum and walking at the same time. Yes, there are a lot of better things to do then myspace - or perhaps "yahoo answers" ... and its only as stupid as the people on your "friends" list.
Myspace has helped me get back in touch with old friends and I've found TONS of freelance work.

I really think it's a good way to keep in touch with people. I don't have one though. Some people are just really careless and stupid and post too much information for stockers to feed on. So personaly I think it's ok, as long as your smart and responsible.

I completely whole heatedly agree with you!
I tried the site on the advice of a friend for the sole purpose of networking for my business.
I do not understand the purpose of collecting "friends" like a token to hang on a wall. Total strangers send you messages that they want to be "your friend". How stupid is that? If I want a friend, I will choose them myself, thank you!
And then a friend you have chosen sends you a message and how do you retrieve it? What's with the blog...and who reads them anyway?
I honestly don't see how young teens could even get past "go" on that site to go anywhere supposingly with a supposed child molester!

I just don't feel like keeping up with all of it because the most I'm into is this and that's about it. Many people also just see it as a way to be nosy and look for what other's are doing in their lives.

Not only is it a waste of time, it's one of the worst designed websites on the internet. Giant ugly backgrounds that make the foreground text impossible to read, music auto-loading blares on your speakers, having to scroll left and right to read everything. I hate it.

I hate it. But i keep giving in and making a profile because my entire family is on there. It's a good way to keep in touch.

I dont have a my space account.
I had to shut my teen age daughter down on hers as she was sending pics to waaaayyyy older guys!
