My neighbors in the apartment next door have a 5 month old baby that likes to wake up whenever i go to sleep. Is there any way i could sound proof the walls so that i can muffle that crying? I need it to be temporary and cheap because I won't be living here forever.

Society views the father's heritage/religion as the dominant one.
So for the most part if a Jew male marries a non-Jew, the kids will be raised as Jews and identify as Jews (because it's hard not to with a last name like Goldstein)
So by instituting the matrilineal descent laws, if a non-Jew male marries a Jew, she feels that it's her duty to raise the kids as Jews and the kids knowing this information will identify as Jews.
So in the end, whatever the outcome, a union between a Jew and a non-Jew ends in Jewish kids.

I am pregnant and my hormones are going all weird, but lately I think about my home life alot.. I guess you think about family when pregnant. I never fit in anywhere when growing up, not with my family.. and I was shelted and didn't ahve any friends that I liked. Now I wonder 'are my kids normal'? They seem to fit in great... I'm thinking of getting a tattoo in Nevada in a few months as a late birthday present, I turned 15 a couple of days ago. My mom is taking me and so I have her permission. I want 2 sparrows below my collar bone or a heart on my wrist. Would I be able to get it? And also, how much do you reckon it would cost? And how many hours?
I'll be in NV for a 3 or 4 days, Maybe get one done the first day I'm in town and get the other the last day..

After I graduated with my BA, I took a class by itself at a different univeristy than the one I got my degree at. Since it was not part of my degree, and was from a different school, can I get that professor to write me a letter? It is within the same field that I'm applying for graduate school and I am certain he will write great things. How do graduate admissions committees generally feel about these kinds of letters?
