I'm thinking of getting a tattoo in Nevada in a few months as a late birthday present, I turned 15 a couple of days ago. My mom is taking me and so I have her permission. I want 2 sparrows below my collar bone or a heart on my wrist. Would I be able to get it? And also, how much do you reckon it would cost? And how many hours?
I'll be in NV for a 3 or 4 days, Maybe get one done the first day I'm in town and get the other the last day..

To the people that want to lecture me on getting a tattoo at 15, don't post. I have heard enough and I don't want to hear your crap about it. TY

I have three tattoos... and it really all just depends on where you end up going. Some shops have minimums, like no matter how small you get a tattoo the cheapest one is like 30 bucks.. even if it was the size of a pea... So really all in all it just depends on the shop you go to.. And some artists take 3 hours to do a butterfly some take 30 minutes, just depends on the artist and how in dept you want the tattoo to actually be!

Nope...no professional studio will tattoo anybody under 18, parental permission or not. Years ago there was some wiggle room in this depending on the state (North Carolina in 1996, you could get one as young as 16 if the parent was *present*). However, in the last decade, laws have gotten tighter.
If the artist wants to stay in business and not get shut down, fined, possibly jailed, etc. they won't tattoo someone under 15. It's also frequent that local authorities will have a minor who is accompanied by an adult claiming to be a parent try to get a tattoo. They do this to test the shop's compliance with the law.
Bottom line...you're out of luck, sorry.

You could probably get a small 2 inch heart on your wrist for like 70 bucks depending if you want it colored in or not, and that would only take like 30 minutes
as for the sparrows it all depend if you want it colored, which will run high in price around like 150-200 (but it all depends on size)

Make sure you wouldn't need to cover it up before you have one on your wrist. Are you going to get hassle from school if it's visible? Do you want the sort of job where you'd need to cover it up? If any of those are likely, get the collarbone one. It's just easier not to have to fight about these things. Also, make sure you love it when you have it done, that way you're more likely to still love it in 10 years' time.

I think if your mom is going with you, then yes you can get it. It depends on how big the tattoo is, sounds like they are both going to be relatively small. So maybe...40-50 for each? My guess. It's Nevada, so hard telling. It will probably take 1-2 hours depending on the details, outlines, etc.

you probably wont be able too.. most places wnt even touch you till you are atleast 16 even with parents permission and you are 16 or 17 they still probably wont even touch you.. you may need to wait till you are 18 toget those tattoos that you want. enough time to decide later if you really do want them.... if they do. they are probably horrible artists and are not sterile wiht their equiptment...
tattoos also take a few sessions to complete for touch ups and stuff... and you said ud only be in nevadad for up to 4 days....not enough time....

I know here, in Texas, it is illegal to tattoo someone under age even with parental consent.
That doesn't mean that people won't do it... it just means that they're breaking the law if they do.

They'll look like to black and blue smudges on your chest within 6 years. Why would you ruin yourself. I'm investing in tattoo removal services, because these things are all going to look like crap in less than a decade and people will be flocking to get them off. Nothing against the people that get them, but they're going to pay 5 times as much to get them removed...and then you'll still have the scars. Please don't do it.

price all depends on the amount of detail, color, and time spent. Tattoo artists can literally put anything on you. The amount of hours depends on the amount of detail and color and size.
