My neighbors in the apartment next door have a 5 month old baby that likes to wake up whenever i go to sleep. Is there any way i could sound proof the walls so that i can muffle that crying? I need it to be temporary and cheap because I won't be living here forever.

Buy yourself a sound conditioner. Worth every penny, and you can take it with you.

Using thick carpeting and heavy curtains can sound proof a room to a great extent. Alternatively placing wall furniture, like a cupboard or wall unit etc. against the wall will also help.

Is the baby's crib directly against your bedroom wall? Maybe you could go next door, perhaps with a little baby type gift.....and consult with your neighbour about relocating the crib??..or soundproofing their side of the wall.
