The Democratic Congress has passed legislation to require the government to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies for the best possible prices on prescription drugs for Medicare recipients, meaning the elderly and disabled.

Lower drug prices for the needy. Good idea, right? President Bush doesn't think so.

He said he will veto this bill, that "competition in the free market" keeps drug prices low. But there IS no competition when a single drug company owns a patent on a drug and no one else can make or sell it.

Drug companies spend literally billions of dollars to protect their patents, lobby congress, and to market their most profitable drugs. Even then they are showing record profits. Nothing is wrong with wealth or earning profits, of course, unless people are dying because they can’t afford to support those profits. And people are dying.

Was Bush elected by the people, including the poor, or by big business? That is now more obvious than ever.

Has he no shame?

Once, a friend of mine told me she was a vampire, after we started going out. At first I thought she was just trying to freak me out. But one day I was at her house and on her face it seemed like there were small black dots slowly apearing on her face; when i said something about it she got up and ran to the bathroom to cover it with make-up. She told me alot about vampires and her so-called clan. She told me that vampires don't die from sun-light, holy frelics, stake in the heart, no, she told me the only way they died was from the holy touch. I'm not very much afraid if they are real. But it has me questioning alot of things, like what happend to Cane when he killed his brother Able? It is said that God put a curse on him and anyone who killed him would die seven deaths over but it never specified what happend to Cane nor did the bible discribe the curse, did he die or did he start the term "vampire" and lived forever roming the earth giving people their share of the curse?

Hey Everyone!! I'm still in junior high, and I'm an 8th grader who's running for my school's student council. What are some quick and easy stuff I can do for my campaign?

As per my other question, I'm looking to start a brokerage. Therefore, I would be in control of my own small business. I would assume that it would be a sole-proprietorship (and then later LLC or full out corporation).

Now, I am also fairly young (let's say 20) and male. I live in NJ, but I might be able to get residency in NC because of school. I'm not looking for a specific quote but a generalization. With that being said, if I purchased a car would it be cheaper to:

---Buy the car under my name and insure it myself?
OR
---Purchase the car through the company I start and have it insured through corporate insurance and register me as a driver?

I have lots of weight to lose. But do not want to become this big massive heap of flab and have to resort to plastic surgery. Those who have had gastric bypass surgery lose weight quickly and most have lots of loose flab that then requires plastic surgery. I saw some of their scars on TV today....they're quite ugly. Can I minimize this by losing weight slowly over a long period of time? I'd like to hear from those who have some firsthand knowledge of it---either themselves or someone they know. Thank-you.

im gonna be honest about myself so please dont report me.

negative:
i only go out on one night stands, i have no problem picking up hookers, i love getting drunk, i like to pop the occasional painkillers, downers, cocaine and marijuana (but i never do these drugs frequenlty enough to biuld an addiction). i tend to go for girls who have no respect for themselves and are incredibly drunk. i party constantly, im a bartender. i love to go to vegas and gamble like crazy. i have also been involved in drug orgies(only 2).

positive:
im very deep, very into philosophy, spiritual but very from from religious, friendly, loyal, funny, every woman i have had a real relationship with i have remaind loving caring and faithful and treat her with respect and like a queen. i see the world for what it realy is and dont exist in denial or delusion. i cant stand any type of organized religion.

but what do you think of me? what kind of person am i?? am i messed up?
