It sounds as if he's attempting to isolate you from your friends. Do you know that that is one of the red flags in an abusive relationship? If I were you I would be very wary of this guy, when you find the right relationship your partner should accept your friends and family and the people who were in your life before he met you.

Mean to who's friends? Does he have any friends left? Whatever the case may be, just give it enough time and he'll start being mean to you. Why should he limit his actions to just friends? You should be careful before you inadvertently cross him. Then see how much you end up liking him.

Thats a bad sign. You may like him but he is a bully and an abuser and when he gets mad at you he will do the same to you. You should reconsider if thats the kind of person you want to be with. He will isolate you so you have no friends. Is it worth it?

If he's mean to your friends he is probably trying to put distance between you and your friends. Soon you will have no more friends and he will be in control. You will be isolated and he will be your only friend.

Explain to him that your friends are very important to you, and that you do not appreciate him being mean to them. If he doesnt stop, then he probably does not respect you either.

Self-centered people are mean to their friends. Self-centered people are nice when it suits them. They are therefore nice to their g/fs because it suits them.
