Hey Everyone!! I'm still in junior high, and I'm an 8th grader who's running for my school's student council. What are some quick and easy stuff I can do for my campaign?

I've thought of some, like putting a big board around someone and telling them to walk around the school and say, Vote for Delilah! It'll be something like a mascot. Oh, and how about Vote for Delilah cookies?Thing is, we need a teacher to stay after school with us while we're baking..

So, please come up with some quick and easy stuff I can do for my campaign..Thanks!!

You want to get your name out. That is the main thing.

One thing you can do is set up a table in the cafeteria with a big sign behind it and something like

Come sit with Delilah and tell me how I can best represent YOU!

Let everybody know that you want to represent them on the student council.

Use a slogan like "Vote for Delilah - the representative with a heart!"

Make a logo that everybody will recognize (like the Nike swoosh).

Put your logo on everything

Get some helium balloons with your name with hearts on them.

Put them around the cafeteria and other places.

Pencils with your name on it (might cost more than you are willing to spend but would be great to have everybody using a pencil with your name on it)

Get your friends to talk about you with all their friends.

I like the cookie idea a lot. Can you bake them at home and bring them to school in bags? Add hearts to them also.

How about a flat pan cake with your name and hearts on it?

Stand out by the buses when they leave and carry a sign on your front and back (sandwich sign) with Vote for Delilah! on it. Put hearts on it too.

Make a flyer and hand it out to people coming and going on voting day. Put the things you want to accomplish on it or another appeal to them. Print hearts all over it.

Good luck... I would vote for you if I were in your school.

The board idea is a very clever one, but is hard to try and find a willing candidate to wear those. The cookies are very, very good and you should probably follow through with that.

If at all possible, try and get on the PA system and announce it (not the necessary speech, if you have to do that).

What I found to be the most creative was the girl in my 8th grade class who took the "Dum Dum" lollipops and tied a piece of paper that said "don't be a dum dum, vote for phoebe". The lollipops are super affordable and you can make a bunch of them.

I don't know if that is already taken, but try it and see.

Just make sure you don't bribe the student body. :)

good luck!

Pass out candies during recess with notes of campaign promises.

when I was in 8th grade my friend amanda ran for this and she bought tons of blow pops, printed out tiny strips of paper saying "vote for amanda" and taped them on there, it had a very positive effect, well good luck.

In 7th grade I passed out pencils that had a sticker on it that said "Vote for [my name]!" and I gave out chex mix with furakaki. (My mom made it, it was a big hit!)
