my best friend was canned tonight and I feel so bad for her...they were really mean about it too...what can I do to cheer her up? chocolate? flowers? just get her out of the house? she has 3 kids so that will be tough but can be done...she lives 3 hours away and I'm considering driving up there in the morning...??

Hi, I have never ever, baked a chicken or a turkey ever before, so if you can guide me through of how it can be done, and if u have any delicious recipe in your mind
that can make my day, and how much time should I give it
to get baked, and one thing more which utensils should be used to bake it. Thanks.

It seems to me, if I may be silly enough to quote the Lion King, that there is more here "to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be done".

What about all the stuff that is never seen and never done? You can live a full, crazy life and never do or see it all. What now? Does it all go to waste?

I imagine that this question is pretty unimportant to those who believe in God (He is up there enjoying all possibilities).

But what about those of us who are not able to believe in such a being and still have an overwhelming urge to size up the whole universe?

Is there a solution to this? Maybe if human civilization conquered the multiverse but I don't know if that will ever happen...

A cop stops a car for traveling faster

than the posted speed limit.

So he asks the man his name.
"Fred," he replies.

"Fred what?" the officer asks.
"Just Fred," the man responds.

The officer is in a good mood and thinks he might just give the
fellow a break and write him out a warning instead of a ticket.

The officer then presses him for the last name.
The man tells him that he used to have a last name but lost it.

The officer thinks that he has a nut case on his hands but plays
along with it.

"Tell me, Fred, how did you lose your last name?"
The man replies, "It's a long story, so stay with me."


"I was born Fred Dingaling. I know -- a funny last name.
The kids used to tease me all the time. So I stayed to myself,
studied hard, and got good grades.

When I got older I realized that I wanted to be a doctor. I
went through college, medical school, internship, residency,
and finally got my degree, so I was Fred Dingaling, MD."

"After a while I got bored being a doctor, so I decided to go
back to school. Dentistry was my dream! Got all the way
through school, got my degree, so then I was Fred Dingaling,
MD, DDS."

"Got bored doing dentistry, so I started fooling around with

my assistant and she gave me VD. So now I was Fred Dingaling,

Well, the ADA found out about the VD, so they took away my DDS.

Then I was Fred Dingaling, MD with VD.

Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS
because of the VD, so they took away my MD leaving me as
Fred Dingaling with VD.

Then the VD took away my Dingaling, so now I am just Fred."

The officer walked away in tears, laughing.

My pregnant dog is an outside dog and we are having a really bad ice storm and its absolutely freezing and I brought her in the house so just in case she had her pups tonight they would be okay. I like this guy at school, you see. He is funny, smart, kind, and a tiny bit of a nerd. I sometimes dont want to tell people about guys I like and stuff like that but at the same time I do. I dont want my friends to start bugging me that I like a guy. But when I see him I just die! What do I do?

I am a very outgoing person and in college and when I was a freshman I made a lot of friends since I lived close to a lot. However, I am an extreme perfectionist and have learned to be very critical of myself and can read people easily and see through their intentions (my dad made me this way unfortunately, long story). I seem to have a lot of friends, but no TRUE friends or ones I can tell anything to or "best friend" type. I don't know why. I think I am sort of a homebody and sometimes have social anxiety if I don't know anyone. I know it's easy to say well just go out there and make friends, but even if I go out and make friends it seems so many girls these days are shallow, fake, backstabbing, liars, etc etc etc. All the friends I made at college soon led to be one of those. Also, most people out there already have several best friends so I can't just enter into that and suddenly be their best friend...I don't know its just overwhelming I worry I will have no bridesmaids hah
