I want to know how many of you truly believe that you chose your sexual orientation. I want to ask both gays and straights. I did not choose my sexual orientation, mainly because I don't believe that it is possible.

Just so you know, I am gay and obviously am not against homosexuality. The reason I asked this question was to see if anyone out there actually thought that they chose their sexual orientation and why.

I am just turned on by girls. Its that simple. The idea of being with a guy is a major turn off. I couldn't even get aroused even if I wanted to around another male. I think there is a scale however. Kinsey had a ranking up to seven in terms of degree of homosexuality. I think some guys are more curious about the same sex whereas some guys are turned off by women. I don't think there is a cut and dry heterosexual and homosexual system. Kinsey's scale makes sense to me. That's why there is debate on the topic. As for women, I'm quite certain that some women choose to be with other women. Of course some are fully lesbians. I've known girls that have chosen to be with other girls by choice but prefer guys. Men however don't seem to have this same degree of flexibility. Because the sex act is very intense. The idea of being inside another guy or having one inside me is horrifying. However I will and have championed guy rights and regularly support the pride parade in Toronto. I think that if you are interested or have had sex with another man you have indisputably homosexual tendencies and to claim to not is denial.

there's no place interior the bible that announces a male or woman pick to be drawn to the two intercourse. The argument that gay human beings pick to be gay is a christian counter to the gay argument that they have got been born that way. If a gay individual have been born gay then the subsequent argument is God made them so and as a result must be suitable. i think of that this replaced right into a undesirable respond on the area of the Christians. a much greater efficient answer (imho) is that any sin is confusing to conquer for particular human beings. collectively as one is a liar and has a confusing time telling the actuality yet another could be addict to pornography or gossip or drugs. as a result collectively as one individual will possibly on no account be tempted with tips from a individual of a similar-intercourse some are.

The ONLY aspect of my orientation that I know for a fact that I choose was to LIVE in accordence with that orientation instead of going with the status quo, which escentially for me would be a lie.
I did NOT choose to be bisexual, or lesbian, or gay female. I chose only to live honestly and openly as who I am.

When I woke up this morning, I wondered if it should be a gay day or a straight day...

No, I did not choose my sexual orientation; I did choose to be open and honest about who I happen to be attracted to and not lead a closeted life.

I believe that I didn't choose to be bisexual and that I was born the way I am, but that's just my opinion.

Who would choose to live a life where they are being discriminated against?

Not me. I had a strong, inate affinity for girls as far back as 4 years old. I found boys to be competition and nasty. And girls to be nice, sweet and desirable.
