Real happiness is beyond this material conception. It is unending and eternal, this world is an illusion and is temporary and full of misery. material happiness is like being held under water forcefully and then they let you come up for air which is not pleasure or happiness but it is a negation of misery. So their is no happiness here only a negation of misery occasionally. We are always having to make adjustments (hot and cold, weather, too this too that) compared to the spiritual happiness which is completely blissful and perfect and no adjustments needed. It is reality.

Happiness is the feeling you get when something you want to happen actually happens. Happiness requires a person to have a sense of their values and know what makes their life worth living. So for some of us winning the 25 million dollar lottery will bring us happiness whereas for others finding the one true mate or loyal friend is sufficient to achieve happiness. In the end, it all depends on who you are.

For me, it's about keeping a positive attitude toward life, even when things are going wrong all around me. This doesn't mean that I never become anxious or depressed - sometimes I do. It means that I can see what's positive in my life & look to better times ahead. And ultimately, I can look forward to eternity with God at the end of my earthly existence.
That's my take on it.

happiness begins with acceptance of who u are. happiness is being comfortable, accepting and overall excitement of the person you have developed and become, looking forward to the next episodes in ur life b/c u know that from the way you are you'll be ok. people who don't look forward to it and are always upset are b/c they dont' accept themselves and don't know how to grow and learn in a healthy manner so at once they can enjoy themselves.

Happiness; is a smile when it comes; anger when it comes; frustration when it comes; fear when it comes; pain when it comes; envy when it comes; greed when it comes; all kept within your heart, analysed, sifted and brought outside only to bless but never to hurt another.

happiness is being free to be yourself, whoever that is. happiness is not always having "happy/elevated/bright" emotions, but being free to feel a whole gammit of emotions (sad, anxious, joyful etc.) but overall being content with your life.
