Its like when you get a bouquet of flowers, you keep changing the water and tossing out the faded blooms. Before you know it, there is only one left, and it's still alive and thriving.
You didn't ask for it, you didn't expect it, but it just took root and now you have a plant. They just hung in there and made themselves at home in my life before I even realized it was happening.

You mean, when it worked, right?

If you're fooled by a master you won't have to ask this question, because you'll believe it was their choice. This is what some women do to men when they "seduce" them skillfully. They make it think its the guy's choice.

But these forms of persuading someone to like you can be quite petty and demeaning and childish, even if they work... it still feels unsettling inside when its all said and done? The best thing to do is to be yourself, and not worry about what other people thing, but too many of us are too chicken shi* to even be brave enough to not even judge ourselves or others, this form of braveness is seen as cowardice, but you ask me which one is harder in reality, to try to get someone to like you, or to like everyone even if they don't like you? Hmmm, just a thought, there. I tend to think its harder to love everyone, even if they don't love us back, than it is to get someone to love us... but that's just my opinion.

I broke up with a guy after 2 years- and he tried for 3 months to get me back. At first i was annoyed, but in the end i actually was impressed. He would cover my car with wild flowers while i was at work- send me roses, leave messages, write letters.... etc. I ended up marrying him- after 6 years he wanted a divorce. I should of NEEEEVER gone back-lol.

This happened to me. It turned me off, he boasted, about how much money he had. He said he would treat me like a princess, he did on the 2 dates we went on. He was so busy selling himself to me, I couldn't get word in edgewise to hardly even talk to him. He is a nice guy, but too pushy. We are just acquaintances now as far as I'm concerned. Maybe if he calms down in the future I'd go out again. But I found him to be annoying.

Actually, someone stalked me for about 2 months. Took him a year to get over me. BUT, they never won me over.

No, I wouldn't be able to respect a person who had to beg me to like them.
