Im a Man Utd fan and although it pains me to say it Liverpool are the most successful club in history as far as silverware is concerned.

If all factors are taken into account though Man Utd are without a doubt the most successful club in football history and one of the most successful in world sport.

Tropheys won total 33 major including the top division 15 times, 11 FA cups, 2 EC/CL, 2 league cups and 3 other european tropheys.
They have also won the 2nd divison 2 times and the charity shield 15 times.

Liverpool - 37 tropheys.

Man Utd are considerably richer than liverpool, more famous, better supported, and able to attract much better players. Liverpool wont be adding to there 18 league titles in the next 10 years where Man Utd are very capable. Both are domestically as successful as each other with liverpool just 1 trophey ahead but at the end of this season that will all be different.

All in all Liverpool live on past glories which they cant be blamed for as there history is excellent but Man Utd have an equally good history but a much better future. Therefore I would say Man Utd are the most successful club in England if all factors are taken into account and not just silverware.

Manchester United. They're like the New York Yankees, FC Bayern München, SL Benfica and FC Barcelona. They're a very rich team with a lot of great players. They have won a lot of English Premier League titles, like all of the above-mentioned teams in their respective leagues.
