The school, the lowest ranking school in the state, has decide to introduce the entire "birds and the bees" experience over a three day period. I feel, as do the professionals and parents I have spoken with, that 9 and 10 year olds are not necessarily at a cognitive stage of developement for this information. It's bad enough that the school board has decided that "fifth grade" shall now be in middle school instead of elementary.(Our state's version of 'Animal House'")
Furthurmore, I believe this topic and how it is presented is a highly personal matter, should be presented by me, the parent, at what I know is an appropriate time and place for my child.
The school's insistence on presenting this material to him and his peers is forcing me to present my child with this personal subject ahead of what I feel is appropriate.This is unbelievable, how a public school can just steamroller into people's personal lives and "take over!" Does anyone have any experience in how to stop this?

I am about 2 months along, I work at a Nursing Home and if I went with their insurance it would be half my paycheck, then i'd have nothing left for bills. So where can I go about for cheap health insurance? Can I get medicaid? And if medicaid is the answer then can u only make so much?

Im so sick of going on the web and seeing all those reviews saying Sailor Moon DUB sucks, ok yea the plot and story lines are a little toned down, but hey im pretty sure you would`nt want your four year old knowing Haruka and Michiru were lezbos. And i agree that the JAPANESE version is better in many ways but still most of us would`nt even have known about Sailor Moon (or any other anime and manga ) if not for the DUB. And also major plots are reveiled a little earlier in the DUB then in the ORIGINAL so you wont feel lost,one for instanced is that all the senshi are reveiled to be princesses of their own planets by Luna in season one, ofcourse in the ORIGINAL this was reveiled too in season five.

I am at university fulltime and also work to pay the bills. My partner wont work and wont live with me as he wants to live with his dad until he makes money as an artist (he has tried for 9 years without any money coming in) I love him and we have always had fun but that is not enough now. I cried this morning as I cant make this months bills after xmas, I rang for his help and he was still in bed at lunchtime and didnt offer any help to me other than he is working hard and who knows??? My Dad is rich but believes people should suffer to succeed and wont help, my mum has her own problems. Any ideas on how to get through the next 12 months at uni from people who have been here?

Can anyone help me decide if going to uni is the right thing? I want o be a midwife and am at college at the moment studing for the access course. It's really harg going trying to get level 3 on my assingments and fitting all the work in. I don't wanna really kill myself at uni trying to get my degree if I don't get the rewards at the end. I am a single mom so it is especially hard for me and I don't live near the uni. I am also scared of failure! And I don't wanna be stuck in a dead end job either. Anybody any advice?

My sexual apetite went from healthy to almost inexistent. I know it was because of the pills, I was warned by my doctor it might happen so, but now it's starting to affect my relationship so I decided to stop taking the pills...

There are approx 6 of us who want to go on a diving holiday to the Red Sea in May. We are of very mixed ability from never diving before to qualified instructor level so need somewhere to please all. We aren't doing it on the cheap and would like a 5 star hotel, ideally half board or b&b. We would like somewhere with a bit of life but not full of clubs and English / Irish Bars!
