Im so sick of going on the web and seeing all those reviews saying Sailor Moon DUB sucks, ok yea the plot and story lines are a little toned down, but hey im pretty sure you would`nt want your four year old knowing Haruka and Michiru were lezbos. And i agree that the JAPANESE version is better in many ways but still most of us would`nt even have known about Sailor Moon (or any other anime and manga ) if not for the DUB. And also major plots are reveiled a little earlier in the DUB then in the ORIGINAL so you wont feel lost, one for instanced is that all the senshi are reveiled to be princesses of their own planets by Luna in season one, ofcourse in the ORIGINAL this was reveiled too in season five.
well you have your facts now weather you agree with me or come out of a bag i stand by my decesion.

I don't agree with you.

I want to see anime as it was meant to be seen...by the Japanese director of the anime and by the writer of the manga. I don't want to see a watered down version. I like anime/manga for the storylines but also enjoy the japanese culture/ideas that are portrayed in the anime/manga, even if that doesn't follow uptight US values and ideas.

Additionally, dubbed animes aren't dubbed properly so the meaning of what is being said is incorrect. Also, many times, the voices don't match the character, which ruins the anime. That's why I like subtitled anime better.

I don't have any interest in seeing a US version that destroys the artist's intent of the anime and manga.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

The Sailor Moon English dub does get lots of bad rap in anime circles, and I will say that for best results, watch the series subbed.

HOWEVER, the dub has its good points...some have said the English music is better than the Japanese

I agree with the above answerer on how, not just anime, but -art- overall should be seen as the way intends. You're crediting the work to the author, so show it as intended. No matter what language it's in, nothing really beats the original.

I just don't agree that dub VA's don't act with passion. Some don't, and some from whatever country don't either.

And homosexuality isn't wrong, it needn't need to be censored.

To add in with what they are saying. Last time i recall. Sailor Moon was never intended to target 4 year olds. In fact, most anime never are. Even Yu Gi Oh. But yet that got dubbed to death so it could be. Now, im one to dont mind about dubs. But with Dub cases like Sailor Moon, One Piece, or Escaflowne. Then THAT makes me angry as much as any fan to these shows.
