This situation seems similar to by own situation a year or so ago, however the shoe was on the other foot. i am naturally are very sarcastic person, but one of my friends in particular couldn't take it with me anymore. so she ignored me and sooner or later i got the hint and asked what was wrong she told me and BANG i resolved the problem by not being sarcastic as much around her or at her expense. It may be hard if that is your friends personality bcos you dont want to sound like you are changing them. mayb let them know out in the open. mayb they didnt know it upset you as much? Good idea to check if the sarcasm is directed only at you and in what manner good or bad.. and slowly work from there. hope this helps! :) dont take things too seriously, go with the flow!!

Try using the sarcasm on him instead and see if he likes it. If he complains tell him that you are doing exactly what he does. The best thing to do though would be to talk to him and try to explain to him calmly that you know he is being himself but if he could just not be so sarcastic towards you as he hurts you sometimes. Hopefully he will listen if he is a good friend :)

since this really hurts you,you should tell him and when he says he is just being himself tell him that he has every right to be himself but not at your expense, with friends like these you will not need any enemys mention to him that you also have rights and will not tolerate any further behavior such as this you have the same rights and there is no excuse for being mean and that your friendship could be at stake if he doesnt realize what hes doing, make sure your friendship is worth it,he is taking advantage or your relationship

I know how you feel. My best friend of 24 yrs has done thatsame to me. The way i delt with it was to let her know that i dont apprecaite her sarcastic remarks. Well I no longer considr her my best friend. I think you're better off leaving him as a formal friend and find better firends. Cause friends like them you dont need in your life...

you say something that is not sarcastic but sounds as if it is and say it really fast ans a little bit loud so that they know that you are annoyed about something but if they ask don't tell them just go"nothing"really slowly and they will get really curiouser and keep asking then you should simply let them down saying "your just too sarcastic for me and it is really annoying!"

Just be formal with him and find another friend. I mean these people don't even realize that they are hurting someone by saying certain things until it is too late.

give him the silent treatment or do the same with him, but that might ruin your friendship. i guess you should just be honest with him and tell him to stop with the sarcasm. if he doesn't then why do you persist in being friends with him in the first place?

You can forget about changing them, chances are they won't stop no matter what you say to them but you might as well let him know you don't like it.

If his behavior is offensive, and naturally so, you might want to re-consider having them as a friend.
