I am about 2 months along, I work at a Nursing Home and if I went with their insurance it would be half my paycheck, then i'd have nothing left for bills. So where can I go about for cheap health insurance? Can I get medicaid? And if medicaid is the answer then can u only make so much?
Please help me.

My husband is a brick layer, but his boss doesn't offer any benefits for the workers.

It's too late for any insurance plan now. Your pregnancy will be considered a pre-existing condition and not covered. You have to have insurance before the fire, not after.
Medicaid is your only hope. Call Planned Parenthood to see what is out there to help you. They will know of many available programs.
Good luck to you.

I don't think you can get medicaid if you have the option of taking health insurance with your employer. Medicaid is only for those with no income or very very low income--here's a website with a wage chart http://www.health.state.ny.us/health_care/medicaid/
Even if you were to take insurance with your current employer your pregnancy would probably be considered a pre-existing condition and it won't pay anyway.

Hi, just thought I’d share there’s a company out there who’s helped a lot of people who do not have and need affordable health benefits. They cover regular office visits, specialists like orthodontists, any pre-existing conditions like your pregnancy already in progress and even ancillary care and hospital advocacy. It basically includes everything you need help paying for. There's no high premiums, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, claims forms or anything like that at all. They can save you up to 80% on your out of pocket expenses for so much less than all the other companies. It could end up saving you a lot of $$ over traditional insurance. They have a medical plan as well as a dental plan that both include vision, prescription and chiropractic benefits as well. They have over 400,000 providers nationwide as well, so it is available almost everywhere. They are a wonderful company and are members of the Better Business Bureau. They were even featured on FOX News just a couple weeks ago. I know several people who have benefits through them, and everything they say about them is nothing but positive. It’s just crazy how much people are shelling out for their healthcare. I then also got benefits through them and love to be able to tell other people about how much money they can save. Try this website and you can check out the specifics and providers in your area. http://www.everyonebenefits.com/40424269/. If your preferred provider isn't on there, he can be added. I hope this helps you and you find what you need. You can email me personally at airforcecontractnegotiator@ yahoo .com (we're military) if you have any questions. Best of luck and happy new year!!

same thing with me right now.. i had to go get aid from the state.. it is cheaper or close to free. they will not turn you down if you need help. but dont let them know you have primary insurance.. you can make depending on the state.. like 1700 a month they said.. but because i live in a low income state.. they say.. that is a low number.. all you can do it go sit up at the office and ask them.. it wont take but a couple hours of your time.. to get good medical for your child.. it worked for me and was worth it.

I was on Medicaid when I was pregnant with my daughter. I wasn't working at the time I applied. However, being that you are pregnant, you are pretty much assured the medical part. You just might not get the other benefits such as food stamps, etc.
Good luck.

My sister had both her babies with no insurance. They set up payment plans with the doctor and hospital as soon as they found out they were pregnant. Both kids were just about paid for by the time they were born.
