I once had an ingenius little pump made specifically to replace the screw-on bottle cap. By pumping air into the empty space, the bottle was re-pressurized and the gas was kept from escaping. I haven't seen one of those since mine went missing and I was hoping to find a cheap way for multiple bottles. My fridge is full of a variety of flavours all openned and partiaIly consumed. With the party over, and company gone after the holidays, the "pop" will be flat before I can finish them. Recently I've tried to make soft drinks last longer in the fridge by squeezing the air out of the large openned (2 litre) plastic bottles. I reasoned that If the level of the carbonated soft drink inside comes up near the top where the original level was before it was opened, and as long as the cap was screwed back on tight, then the gas would have nowhere escape to. That theory doesn't seem to work as well as the old pump. Perhaps because the thin plastic in modern bottles blows back out? Any ideas?

I'm just kidding. I'm not hung over today. Yesterday, that's another story.

The treatment that works best for me on hangovers (which I really don't get that often) is a large cup of coffee in the morning followed by a big breakfast -- bacon, eggs and toast. Then throughout the day I drank a big jug of lemon-lime Gatorade (is there any other kind of Gatorade?) and at least twice as much water and about two cups of sleepytime tea before bed.

This was to counteract the half-bottle of reisling, half-bottle of sparkling chardonnay and half-bottle of Ballatore sparking spfumante I had the night before. It was a long process, but it did the trick!

So what hangover cures work for you guys? Do you have any unusual ones, or just the usual water-and-aspirin?

I am from India and I'm targeting 2 universities to go and study one is from Helsinki and another from Kemi-Tornia, when I go to the embassy of Finland here in India, which one would be more certain for me to get the visa....i mean if I show the embassy that i'm going to Helsinki for my studies would be of more chances or showing that going to Kemi-Tornia would be of more chance to get the visa? I ask this question because long before I heared that it is easier to get scandinavian visa than other western european visa because of their low population. I know in southern area of Finland like Helsinki are more populated than in the northern area such as Kemi and Tornio. Does choosing a city make a differece? Also please tell me what would be the questions they woud ask during my interview in the Finnish embassy? Thanx

My husband and I have been married for a little over a year and we have two girls. Here is my Problem. He will not stop l looking at porn online. I have had many talks an many argurments about this. With the last one I even left for a couple days. I just don't like the fact that he is "getting Off" with some one besides me. I mean he says phone sex is cheating but what is the difference between the two! I was looking at the history on the web for about a month with no Porn sites listed so I stopped. Then yesterday I went to Metcafe and there was so many naked girls he had looked at it was gross! I feel like crap! It is like every thing he said was a lie. I said something to him last night about it( my kids were around and I did not want to fight in front of them expecitlly when it is about porn) His excuse was I am a man. Well I am a woman but I am not a stay at home mom I do not wear dresses and act all proper. You are in charge of your self! I just don't know what to do! I am so mad!

Not in a kissing-up sort of way, but if you notice something that you like about someone in regards to appearance or behavior/personality. . .do you let them know? Or keep it to yourself?
I pay a compliment where due. . .and I'm always amazed at know startled some people seem. . .especially if it's a check-out person or someone like that. . .I think they're more used to people's indifference or anger.

me and my husband are trying to have a baby. i tracked my monthly cycles and found out when i was ovulating in the month of dec. We tried to conceive all month esp during the time i was ovulating. i was due for my monthly period on Dec 31st. I started a little on the 31st and I still have my period today but it is not heavy at all. i mean there isnt even blood on the tissue when i go to the bathroom. the blood that is visible throughout the day is bright red mixed with dark red blood. what could this be? is this normal? could i be pregnant or is it my period?
