I'm just kidding. I'm not hung over today. Yesterday, that's another story.

The treatment that works best for me on hangovers (which I really don't get that often) is a large cup of coffee in the morning followed by a big breakfast -- bacon, eggs and toast. Then throughout the day I drank a big jug of lemon-lime Gatorade (is there any other kind of Gatorade?) and at least twice as much water and about two cups of sleepytime tea before bed.

This was to counteract the half-bottle of reisling, half-bottle of sparkling chardonnay and half-bottle of Ballatore sparking spfumante I had the night before. It was a long process, but it did the trick!

So what hangover cures work for you guys? Do you have any unusual ones, or just the usual water-and-aspirin?

Ginger Ale and saltine crackers:
This seems to settle my stomach quickly and gets it ready for a small meal later.

Aspirin for the headache:
Well yeah...my whole damned body hurts actually.

As much water as I can drink all day long:
Dehydration is the biggest pain factor in the hangover. Alcohol induces a chemical change where your body starts passing all water to your kidneys/bladder, hence why you can't stop peeing after you "break the seal". Your brain shrinks inside your skull and the shrinking pulling on the membranes is part of the headache.

For me, it seems like if I take a vitamin c pill the day I drink, and drink a lot of water immediately before I go binging...then the next day I feel great. But a shower, gatorade, and fruit also helps by putting nutrients back into your system quick.

Very odd............but what always worked for me was chocolate milk and watermelon (preferably together)
Since having gastric bypass surgery I can't really tolerate enough alcohol to get a hangover, but this is what used to work for me.

Milk Thistle. You can get it from health food stores in tablet form. If you don't go in for that then a king sized mars bar, red bull and 3 caffeine tablets always works for me ;)
