Nothing really, those people live in their own bubble of soap --nothing smart to do but harrassing people and hiding themselves beyond a computer, I think it is called 'being cowards'.
I assure you, they have no clue as to what 'homophobe' means at all.

Also, several of them are just immature teenagers, you can tell by the way they ask the same question over and over, changing avatar and user ID, pretending they are someone else.

Asking questions then answering their own questions (check questions and answers, they make the same grammatical mistakes in both, questions and answers -- is it a coincidence? I don't think so)

The problem is that a large number of answerers fight back, that is exactly what keeps them alive. It is just like feeding cheese to the rats.

A lot of it since is most likely because they are pathetic small minded people who have no life. In order to boast their ego's they try and bash and be-little others only to make themselves seem superior. These same types of people would not only bash the GLBT community, but also others as well like the physically disabled or those of color.

It is a shame that they have nothing better to do.

I think it's just a matter of people obsessing over something they can't wrap their minds around, and the only way they can express their confusion is in a way that appears negative to the rest of us.

People really ARE that dense. It's the task of us less-dense people to inform and educate them. Unfortunately, people will only understand things when they are ready.

In my opinion homophobs are very jealous of the open gays because they have come out & the homophobs want to but don't have the guts. I'm straight & I have no reason in the world to down gay people but I would be jealous of a girl who got a guy that I wanted. And you're right why do they come to this site? I think they're looking for tips on how to come out but that's not reason to insult anyone.

As best I can tell, the "troll sounding" questions are indeed asked by trolls... and a lot of trolls tend to hang around this section.

I guess it's the price we pay for being so very charming and attractive, Mr. Bone.

Hmm, what would you rather believe? That people are dumb or people are bored and mean-spirited? It's depressing, but on the plus side I see a lot of good answers to real problems here. That's nice, isn't it?

I'm with you, I hope people aren't really that ignorant. For the most part I think the people who ask those questions are just narrow minded, sad, uneducated, cold, pathetic souls who have nothing better to do.

Yes, the answer is multi part based on their motives.

First you have trolls - Posting derogatory messages about sensitive subjects on newsgroups and chat rooms to bait users into responding.

Second you have the opposition - the religious types that beleive homosexuality is wrong and come here to engage in intelligent debat on the subject and to win souls. (even though, imo, they should discuss their views in the religion section)

Those religious types that are not engaging in INTELLIGENT debate are TROLLS.

Never let bigotry hide behind religion!

What is wrong with them is they are really, deep down inside, flaming homosexuals but are terrified of their own true nature and have to transfer their inner fear into outward directed hate against their own kind.
