..was standing in a supermarket by the shelf holding various oil and water based "lubricants". Whenever somebody selected a product, either his own or a competing brand, he would ask a few questions, one of which was "what do you use this product for?"
He got some red-face and far-fetched answers:

I have a sum where the sum limits have changed, and i can't figure out why. It is

∑(N!/(k-1)!(N-k)!)*((λ/N)^k)*((1- λ/N)^N-k
K=1
Is the same as
N-1
∑(N!/(u!)(N-u-1)!)*((λ/N)^u+1)*((1- λ/N)^N-u-1
u=0
where u=k-1

I don't understand why the limit on the second sum changes from N to N-1.

I have a 2006 saturn ion3 sedan (NOT REDLINE) ..people always say saturns suck....WELL...I have a 2.2 liter with exhaust and Cold air intake...dynoed at 159 hp at 5400 rpm....i kick v6 and 4cyl all the time...0-60mph is 8.6 sec...why is it that i am "stupid" for making a saturn faster...and to piss u off more...i have a turbo kit for it on backhold...i have a body kit and spoiler also....in 2 mths i will have 260 HP// why is it that me spendng less money on a car that can beat any car tht pulls a 5 sec 0-60 and tht is unexpected to win...why is tht stupid?
