Sephiroth or Kefka? I know I will get lots of Sephiroth responses, and he is a damn good villian, but I like Kefka a little more.

Kefka is way better than Sephiroth.
But my personal favorite is Kuja from Final Fantasy IX.

I didn't play either of the games they are from, but I saw Final fantasy VII: Advent children, and have seen several of the things that Sephiroth did during the game in the special features section, and personally would say Sephiroth. Also, while a good villain (arguable) doesn't need to fight, Sephiroth can, very well. I don't know if he manipulates people as much as Kefka, but he does manipulate people well, which adds to his score, or whatever you wish to call it, and all that really kept him from using the black materia was his condition, which meant he had the intention, AND the means by which to do what he intended.
Since I didn't play the game, my information may be a little spotty, but I believe it is fairly correct.

Sephiroth is kind of like Cloud in "Final Fantasy VII", a puppet of Jenova. While Kefka in "Final Fantasy VI" is the head of things.
Sephiroth's equivalents in "Final Fantasy VI" are Tina and Celes, Aerith's equivalents in that game are also them and she resemble Sephiroth in some ways.
People tend to confused Sephiroth as the main villain, since Jenova regulary use Sephiroth's image to do things. The actual Sephiroth is a pretty nice guy.
It's probably more correct to say Sephiroth is a nicer character.

I think that Sephiroth is the better villian than Kefka in Final Fantasy because he was the best swordman in FFVII. Even in the FFVII: Advent Children, he was better than Cloud until he used Omnislash to put him out of misery again....

Out of the two given the choice is obviously Sephiroth! But everyone forgets about Shuyin from FFX-2. He was the best bad guy ever!

I havnt got a chance to play final fantasy yet but i have played
kingdom hearts 2 and i think Sephiroth looked AWESOME!!!

none both are gay,especially sephiroth who died...not once...but twice,by a failed SOLDIER
