I want to go to law school but need to work less hours (40-50max) and was wondering what others thought of JD's being paralegals. Or, do lawyers really work more than 50 hrs a week on average? I really like contracts, IP, and natural law. I am a single parent and really need to be home at a decent hour.

I hope you all had a nice time during Christmas.
I was told that it’s Santa brings Christmas presents when I was a kid, but recently, I found out in some countries, not Santa, but baby Jesus or magic kings bring Christmas presents. My Colombian and Slovakian friends say it's baby Jesus, Dominican and Angolan friends say it’s both, and some people think it’s baby Jesus, some other think it’s Santa, and it's papa noel (that’s Santa, father Christmas, right?) in Uruguay on 25th Dec, and magic kings on 6th Jan. My friend from Basque area says it's Olentzero, who was a Basque miner on 25th, and 3 kings on 6th. I am from Japan, and people say it's Santa.
Don't give me 'it's your friends and parents' answer, because I know that :-) I am just interested in who brings the presents, according to the legend in your country.

ok me and my ex were together 7 yrs lots of stuff happened, we split 10 mth ago, got talking again and got back together 2 mths ago, everything was going great then we had a little disagreement when she started giving me the cold shoulder again when i questioned it she said she wanted to end things again. i was back were i started i tried and tried for 8 mths to get er back then when i did i lost her immediatley through in my opion a few inacent things. since then i took on board her need for space and started all over again, now dont say its dead because i as a human being can tell its not but for some reason she just backs off again as soon as we have MOMENTS. i stayed xmas eve with our threee kids and she ended upjoining me on the sofa and we cuddled and had a passionate moment, i then stayed xmas day and she asked if i would like to join on new years day also. am i wrong for thinking we were trying again? only now she has called it off and said - i knew you would get the wrong idea

What if your friend is starting to get on your nerves, she comes to your house everyday only to eat my food and go on my computer. When ever she makes a mess she leaves it there for you to clean up, and she takes your cellphone and calls everyone that she possibly knows and your bill ends up high. Then just to top it all off you find out that she is talking to your boyfriend online about sex. I finally tell her to leave me alone and never come back and now i feel guilty. Should I feel guilty and say sorry??

I have been smoking 23 years. I have wanted to quit for almost two years. I am using Nicorette with the pangs, they work fine.

Does anyone have any tips. I'm missing the motion of the cigarette hand here. It's nuts. After 23 years, which is more than two thirds of my life, It's like opening my eyes in the morning. That congestion that usually wakes me up coughing did not happen this morning. I did have the cough after I woke up. I am sure that will go in time too.

Any good success stories? I would love if you would share. My success story is I'm 36, still alive and I'm quitting smoking. My sister died of cancer age 35, my mother cancer, 47, my grandfather cancer 77, my aunt cancer 60, my uncle cancer 80. I want to hit at least 60 and with my family history, smoking don't allow for it.
