In a project, I have to prepare zinc stock solution with pH 4,5 n 6. But then my supervisor said that I have to use buffer instead of just adding NaOH and HCl. So, how can I prepare buffer?

so this old guy- friend of mine has been calling me up since 2 weeks ago trying to get me to go with him to register for some classes at college...because he doesnt want to go alone. I said yes but i let him down because that day that he wanted to go was my anniversary with my bf. He kept on calling to see if i was still available. he even left me a message. He did not go with any of his other friends. He calls me 1st thing in the morning today after he gets right back from work to see if I could go with him i told him 'its close'. we hang up & decide to go until next month. after 30min he calls back to say "i am bored tell me what to do?what can i do?". He was thinking of going to the beach apparently with me. is it normal to ask a girl out to a beach if you consider her "just a friend"? is it normal? or this guy wants more than friends ? and cant face i have a bf. by the way he called me yesterday and told me how lonley he felt withuot a girl in his life.

Ok, my new neigbor is a newly divorced mother of a 4 and 6 yr old boy. At first I thought "Cool, I have a 4 yr old, they can be friends!"

Umm, No way. They are monsters, up until 3am screaming like banshees regularly. They throw things at peoples cars...with the owners standing there no less!!
The mother is no better. She blares her Rob Zombie and NIN until 4 in the morning and it's so loud, we can hear every word clearly. Not to mention she smokes pot and it comes into our apartment through the radiators. It was so strong one night that we had to open windows and leave the room. She also likes to appropriate other people's things for her personal use. She has also thrown our things in the trash when they were on OUR SECOND FLOOR landing... she's on the FIRST.
I sent the landlord a letter cause I don't think it's smart to complain to the downstairs tenant when they're stoned out of their gourd and I don't think i'd be polite.
If they don't stop,what else can I do? Call the cops?

Okay, my right breast is a D, but my left is a C! And it's not noticeable when I am fully clothed because I used padded bras to makeup the diference... I have heard this in intelligent conversations with both a genetic researcher and a doctor - people who would know what they're talking about on a subject like this. They were both fairly adamant that it has been found that 1 in 10 people are predisposed to be "gay" or homosexual.

The numbers seem to make sense, but would any intelligent folks care to elaborate on this?

Are there actually reliable statistical results out there that prove that 1 in 10 of us is homosexual?

Is there any evidence that patients start exhibiting traits of a certain condition if they are told that they have that condition? If so, are doctors aware of this when seeing patients over a period of time.

I ask because a friend of my had slight mental problems with anger and then goes and sees a psychologist who said he was Bipolar and now since he has a "condition" he is getting more extreme and fitting the characteristics of the condition more.

I go to a city university in NY, and I want to go to a top law school (Harvard, NYU, Columbia...). I haven't taken the LSATs yet, but if I get a really high score, lets say at least 170, does it really matter that I don't go to an Ivy League or prestigious undergrad college, especially since my GPA is like a 3.85, and I'm in honors programs? How much weight do admissions officers put on where you go for undergrad? I know that most people who end up in these law schools did go to the top undergrad institutions, so will it really hurt my chances of getting in if I'm not attending such a well-known college?
Also, I'm finishing college in 3 years instead of 4 because I took tons of AP classes in high school and got loads of credit--will law schools think they can't really accept me since they have less to look at on my transcript, or could they be impressed that I manage to graduate quickly? Or will it have no impact?
