I have two piercings in my ear right now, thinking of a third. how much would it hurt, since it's in the cartilirige? (sorry, I don't know how to spell that...)
Thanks!

I don't want the top done, i want the part right above the lobe pierced on both sides. I'd probably get it done with a gun.... hurt much/how long?

yes it does hurt, but if you are really wanting to do it, it is totally worth it, after the actual piercing the place will be sore for quite a while and you wont want to sleep on the side that the ear is pierced either, that will be really uncomfortable, I've had mine pierced for about 5-6 years and I still don't sleep w/ my earing in cause it's uncomfortable...... but like i said if you really want it it's worth it and the pain will eventually go away.....

I have four piercings in each ear (two in the cartilage part). The cartilage doesn't hurt that much but you will definitely feel it. It also takes longer to heal and it is a little uncomfortable to sleep. In the end, I believe it is worth it because i love my piercings.

It hurts pretty bad because the cartiliage is very sensitive. Mine bleed for a couple nights if i tried to sleep on it. so try not to sleep on it. it stings for only about a few seconds, but sometimes the healing hurts. dont play with the earing unless your hands are clean and keep your ear clean. and do it at a tattoo parlor instead of like claires because the guns they use at claires can tear the cartilage and can cause some serious damage. But good luck...and trust me, it looks so cool.

I got my cartilage pierced at a tattoo and piercing parlor. For me, it barely hurt. Mine didn't get infected or anything. If you get it done I suggest you keep your hair in a ponytail for a little bit if you can, it will prevent your hair from getting stuck in it. You might not be able to sleep on that ear though. I know I wasn't able to for a couple days.

it hurts... but its not unbearable. I got mine done at Claires, it got infected almost immediately and had to be taken out. I wouldnt do it again.. it sucked.. my hair was always getting stuck in it, I couldnt sleep on that side of my head.. and like I said, it got infected.. but that was because of the person who did the actual piercing. I think if you get it done somewhere that knows what they are doing.. it should be fine :)

when i got it, the initial piercing didn't hurt that much, but the throbbing for hours afterwards did. everyone has different pain thresholds in different parts of their bodies, but i would recommend taking an painkiller or two before. just not aspirin, because it's a blood thinner.
