Recently i got enrolled into a course in U.K. As arriving in a new place, i thought that indians would definitely help me out.
To my amusement, not only the NRI living there, but also those students enrolled with me, totally avoided helping or being with an INDIAN.
NRI, they just simply denied to help. Moreover, students enrolled with me, simply thought that if they hang out/talk to an INDIAN, it'll make them uncool. Not only that they feel so ashamed of speaking hindi among themselves. Also, overnight change of lifestyle. Now they r eating english food, hanging out in pubs/bars and labelling the others who r not doing the same, as backward INDIANs. Its so sad, when someone achieve something good, why the hell they look down upon on others (especially people of there own community.)
Whereas other international students they do hang out with there own community and they don't feel ashamed of speaking in there own language. Now, i really hate myself for being an INDIAN.
