I've been separated from my wife for a year. I allowed her to file our taxes (Joint since we were together in 05) and for the life of me I did not follow up on the matter. Well I found out that she did not file the taxes because we owed money and I only have a few days before the new year to figure out what to do. I am looking for a tax specialist as I type. I hope I can get some real solutions so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I sued: 1) my former employer, 2) the state of new york and 3) individuals who were acting on behalf of the state. My employer said I had raised some Constitutional issues. My employer made a "notice of removal" and had the case moved from New York State Court to Federal Court (US District Court). I have multiple causes of action including a Section 1983 action, breach of contract, tortious interference and I am asking for specific performance of my contract. The 11th ammedment bars suits brought against the state or state actors in Federal Court, unless the state gives its consent. Therefore, my question is this, if one of the defendents (not the state defendents) makes a "notice of removal" into federal court, then have the state defendents also de facto agreed to having the case heard in federal court?

The previous owner said she came from Ranch in North or South Dakota.

My stepson is 26. I've been in his life since he was 9. I've always thought we were fairly close, we've always gotten along, anyhow. I'm not a materialistic person at all but the principal of this issue, really is becoming hurtful. Here it is: for the last 2yrs my stepson has called past 8pm on my birthday and been home all day. He said "happy birthday" Im sorry I couldnt get you anything but I'm really broke. OK no big deal right? Then, that night he goes to dinner at a pricey rest. with friends and always manages to scrape up present money for their 3 kids but can't stop buy Dollar Tree and get a 50. card for his stepmom! A "homemade" one would make me even happier! Like I said it's the principle. I think the present thing is trying to tell me something, for x-mas, he gave his dad a $80 toolbox and I got a candle set (clearance stickered w/ a candle missing) I tried to tell his dad how I feel but he didn't even want to listen and just blew it off with excuses for him. Any advice?
