I purchased a vacant plot of land on 1 May 2004, and the house construction got complete on 1 June 2006. When will I be eligible to sell the house + plot under long-term capital gains - is it 1 May 2007 (i.e., three years after I purchased the plot), or 1 June 2009 (i.e., three years after the house construction got complete)?

People, I am just wondering if seeings how our everyday rights are vanishing before our very eyes because of our national security and protection if there is a possibilty in our future of martial law imposed on our own citizens and if so will the military and government try to take our weapons? She has an older cousin 11yrs old who spilled the beans, now my daughter is confussed and upset that her cousin would even suggest that Santa is NOT real!

When she confronted me, I diverted the question by asking a question. I asked "Do you think Santa is real?" She said "Of Course, DAD!" I left it at that.

My problem is, because we are much poorer this year (we live in Michigan!) there will be half the presents she is used to getting. I know she will feel as if she was bad this year, and that Santa is punishing her. So I ask, how do I break the news to her?

I have been with my BF for 2 years now. We have a great relationship, he treats me very well and I never doubt the fact that he loves me. However, his mom disapproves of our relationship. His dad died and his mom is a stroke victim & very weak. He took me to visit her several times but it always ended ugly with her yelling & tell me to get out of her house, etc... due to my race/religion. He used to be rebellious but ever since his dad died, he feels guilty that he never spend enough time with him. So with his mom health being a problem, he afraid he might lose her too so he would never argue back with her or do anything that might upset her, he usually just take me away. He try to be considerate of both sides & I love him for that. However, if friends ever ask about our future plans, he intentionally avoid the subjects. We talked about it & he said he doesn't want to upset his mom cause she's the only family he has left & if anything happen to her, he won't forgive himself.

Im 14 years old and I REALLY want to enter into acting. Like movie acting or tv show acting. The problem is I live in a town where there are movies filmed in it every now often but not usually..and I live pretty far from California (I live in Washington State). Any suggestions on what I should do???

Vodka, by defination is; ordorless, colorless and tastless, so why does cheep vodka tastes so bad? I have a home water distiller that could be easily used for re-distilling vodka to remove the nasty tasting impurities. Is there any danger in re-distilling vodka? specifically "methanol poisioning"?
