It depends on the dose of the pills and your body weight/height... I really hope there's no intent... If all else fails take the whole bottle and finish a 60oz bottle of 151% proof rum.

I'd be worried on anything above 20mg. My blood gases, heartbeat, temperature and nerves were off-kilter for a week after an OD on something above 20mg. I've never known how many I took, but I know it was more than 10 (bars). If you're trying to measure 20mg, it's 10 4-bars/40 blue footballs/80 peach footballs but you're probably talking about the bars.

If there was alcohol involved then it's an entirely different story. Most of the time when alcohol was involved for me I went crazy on others or almost died.

According to the site in my "source" below, the LD50 for Xanax in rats is 331-2171 mg/kg. Experiments have shown that serious/fatal side effects can be triggered by half that much. That "half" was apparently 975 times the recommended dose for humans.

Still, the site also mentions fatalities related to so much as a single dose mixed with alcohol.

It's nothing to take a chance on. If you think someone accidentally overdosed, get them to a hospital. Just because it's not a fatal dose doesn't mean it isn't going to have effects on their mind or body.

We have had patients that have taken 90mg (90 1mg pills) which is equivalent to 180 0.5mg pills and 360 0.25mg pills and have done fine. Xanax is actually a pretty safe drug.

Mixing it with alcohol is a whole different story because your breathing will become depressed or you may stop breathing. Or you may vomit and choke on your own vomit. Large amounts of Xanax and alcohol is deadly.

If you're considering doing this you need to get help immediately.

Do not wonder, just know that any medication can be harmful if not used as directed. I have a special friend that did not abuse medication but used it more than directed for relief of migraines, she had a seizure and now can not drive a vehicle for a year and does not even want to because the seizure was the first of two that came the same day and because she did not know she even had them (except for her physical backaches that wake her in the night) It put a major strain in her life-style--single mother, working and has ti ask for help to get to work, let alone go anywhere else

xanax by itself probably won't kill you. benzodiazepines are relatively safe drugs in overdose. High potential for addiction and abuse, but unless combined with other central depressants such as alcohol, you probably aren't going to die from a benzo such as xanax. Drug overdoses are really nasty, so many better things in life other than suicide

this is a very touchy one for me. I had a friend come to me a year and a half ago and tell me that she wanted to hurt someone as bad as they had hurt her. She went home and took her mothers script out of the bathroom and 80, 2mg bars later she ended up hurting us all!!!!!!! I know you are an addict, and I know it sucks, but you need to get help, or find someone who will talk to you without judging you.......................
