What treatments are you on? I know they have alot of good ones out there. Next time you have some sort of oral report, you should do it on that, so people know the truth.

good luck, and dont be embarrased, be happy to be you!

I'VE GOT THE ANSWERS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR

I think you mean eczema. I'm 21 and I've had it since i was born. I understand what you are going through because I get in on my arms, legs, neck, scalp, face, and even my lips and armpits. But I have all the solutions u need.
Once you start using the correct medications u can manage your eczema much easier and after good maintenance of your skin you'll notice your skin will start to look as if you don't have it!
Medications: Go to the dermatologist and ask about elocon cream or the generic brands(can be used everywhere except the face, lips, and armpits: it clears the scaly rashes within days)

For your face and other delicate areas use lidex or its generic brand locoid (prescription also)

For your scalp use fluocinonide topical solution
DON'T USE ELIDEL IT DOES NOT WORK AND IT COST ABOUT $100
I tried almost everything and these prescription creams are the best

For daily maintenance:
bathe with dove or olay soaps
After showers use a body oil on your skin and then use a lotion, (preferably a body cream) with vitamin E
try not to use harsh fragrances or soaps because they could cause your skin to feel like its on FIRE when you take a shower!

The best body cream is genes vitamin e Swiss collagen complex moisturizing body cream. It makes my skin extremely soft. The only place i've been able to find it is the sam's club for about $6 and ebay for about $11. It's the best though.
Good luck!!

you mean eczema? i haven't heard exima yet. i stand corrected.

but if i am right, here's an info about eczema.

Eczema is a general term for many types of skin inflammation, also known as dermatitis. The most common form of eczema is atopic dermatitis (some people use these two terms interchangeably). However, there are many different forms of eczema.

Eczema can affect people of any age, although the condition is most common in infants. Eczema will permanently resolve by age three in about half of affected infants. In others, the condition tends to recur throughout life. People with eczema often have a family history of the condition or a family history of other allergic conditions, such as asthma or hay fever. Up to 20% of children and 1-2% of adults are believed to have eczema.

Two things: first of all, talk to your parents, and your parents and doctor together about it. You may need (and want!) to go to a specialist doctor called a dermatologist. There are a couple medical treatments out there, but since I'm not a doctor, I'm not going to "prescribe" them.

Second, and this also involves your parents too, there may be a way for you to do something different or change in a different location, but your parents would need to talk to the school nurse and principal (at a minimum) before that can happen. It's usually done quietly and confidentially so people don't talk about it (and you).

like u, im a sufferer, since my high school days... eczema i belive is really a form of SKIN ASTHMA, and asthma is an ALLERGY, specially if u have a family members suffereing from asthma or allergy, then u got it from them, based on my experience, if my Respiratory condition is good and its asthma season... and the skin type develops, i wont be having the respiratory asthma and vice versa if i have the respiratory asthma, the skin type behaves...., it can be controlled yes by creams and steroids given by a really good dermatologist, there are bad derma's out there who do not know the connection ...who would make u an experiment, i was one, until we discovered that its really Skin Asthma, which most doctors then didnt know, dear never let them use ointments on u, it gets worse! stress, foods we eat- peanuts, chocolates ( i love them!), weather, seafoods.... sometimes triggers these, u just have to find where your allergic to.. to help yourself prevent it , and ive suffered the same problems as u of explaining to people who never understand that it is NOT CONTAGIOUS! ... and dont worry about people not liking u bcoz of this. theyre not good friends if they judge u by these ailment. Find other friends who would support u and not put more stress for u ok. Peace. God Bless

My mom had exima on and between her toes. She dried them well after washing them, then applied vaseline and wore cotton socks. Now she's exima free! Good Luck

my best friend has it really bad, especially on her face... she was born with it.
she just had to get used to it, and so did everyone else, now it doesn't really bother her any more, or anyone else. and she is one of the most beutiful gals at school, to the guys anyway!

don't let it bother you, don't listen to what other people think, because trust me, they are wrong! when you start to accept yourself the way you are, so will other people! good-luck!

My little granddaughter has this and her mom got a prescription cream that keeps it under control. You should see a doctor about it and see what they tell you, but sometimes they treat eczema with steroids. Good luck!
