It's so pretty and everyone has their own way of doing it. There are so many traditions and ideas and decorations - and people do seem friendlier. I love to get the perfect gift for the people I love - and I love to see the wide eyed look of amazement on the faces of my children when they see that pile of gifts or think they hear santa's sleigh bells. It's also a great way to be distracted from the darkest days of winter and to ring in the new year - we get all our visiting and fun and children's dreams come true, then get back to work with a renewed resolve and hope for the new year. What can I say - I love it all!

Peace!

I love Christmas because of a few memories that I experienced around Christmas that were good. Knowing that I can remember these and interact with people in a good way, are what keep me going. Basically I try to be genuinely happy around other people, because a lot of people put up fronts around Christmas.

I'm starting to hate it. I work in retail. I'm sick of all the morons waiting till the LAST ******* DAY to realize OH NOES christmas is coming! and then they storm into my store and yell at me cause we're all out of almost everything! HELLO if you had planned ahead, we had plenty just a week ago! It's your own damn fault you can't have whatever stupid thing it is you want, because you waited too long!

But anyways, Christmas to me is about love and romance. My mom wants it to be about family. But that's not what it is to me. I want to spend Christmas alone with my boyfriend reflecting over the last year together.

But I'm still bitter about the last minute shoppers.

Lack of traffic on the streets. So quiet outside. Just like when I was a boy. I LOVE no cars on the streets and highways on Christmas Day ! Good Luck! :)

It makes me think again of the lovely story of the Christ child. I love the music, special programs, Christmas trees, greeting cards, and all that goes with the season (except maybe the crowds at the malls!)

i dont, its a celbration started by antient romans. befor they were converted to christian, and b4 they were chatholics, christmas was the celebration of the god of saturn, where gifts were given and coulorful pappers were strung up! thats where the christmas lights come from, thats how they came about, the romans dident want 2 leave this celebration so the chatholics adopted it, n called it ''Christ-mas'', they added jesus' name 2 it, and said it had 2 do with the three wise men, but a true worshiper of god would know that ''ther three wise men'' were actually sent to kill jesus, and that the star in the heavens, the veary one you place on your tree, was set there by satan, for the wise men to folow, and when they reached jesus, they relised that he was the son of god, then offered up gifts. so all of christmas really is, is a faulse celebration excepted by the chatholics, y would people suposubly of god whant to adopt a faulse celebration? maybe because thay are the faulse profits we are warned about in the bible? twisting things to make them more desirable to the eye?

Only because it is the supposed time of the birth of Christ. Other than that, it has very little meaning, all the rest is customs and commercialism gone berserk.
