i know that chrsitans and catholics are both under the unbrella of christianity but what are the differences between the two?
i want to join a church but i dont know which. i like the way the christian churches have the teen groups and things like that but when i go to thier umm mass? (i dont know what its called when everyone goes together) they start singing and i feel very awkward(maybe i just have to get used to it) .

ive only been to a catholic mass a few times and when i did it was in spanish so i didnt know what was going on (and i was younger at the time too) is that all that they do? i would want to get my catecism (im not sure if thats how you spell it) and all those things after that but do they have teen groups like the christian churches do? ive never heard of anything like that but maybe its just me.

I've heard this commercial on the radio. It was advertising this new way of shopping online for people without credit cards, teenagers, etc... It said that is works wherewer visa cards are accepted. Also said that you can buy it with your phone's credit - hope I'm not making this up. Anyone remembers the name of the company ??

There's a big full colour spread picture in the Independent or the Guardian of the rioting in Ramallah, between Hamas and Fatah.. In the midst of the shooting and the carnage there's a man who's acting as a human shield to protect his children. You can see he's scared and they're terrified and crying. Does it matter he's a muslim, do the politics of that troubled state of Palestine matter at that moment in time..I only see a human being trying to save his loved ones?!

HOW DO WE STOP "in your face violence and sex" on TV?
I see TV programs getting wilder and more outrageous ever week. Shock quality gets greater and greater each month and vilence has become acceptable behavour to our young adults and to young kids who see vilence as just a way of life and they are not affected by it at all. How will they act out when they are in their teens?
And Sex, it is no longer private. Sex is no longer a personal thing. TV has destroyed the mistique of sex and no longer will young people be allowed to grow up without it in their faces. I watched The Opra Show last year and she detailed the widespread US School Bus Sex activity which is very common in the US. Boys of 10 and up being "serviced" by girls of the same age and younger. That story made me sick and ashamed than it is not even being addressed and stopped! Little girls growing up believing they have to "service " boys to be accepted - eekk!

I don't have any of my own friends. I've had a boyfriend for a long time, and we spend alot, sometimes too much time together. All the friends i have are his friends. I get tired of hanging out with guys all the time. I want to talk about chick things. Linda is my husband's sister's best friend, who grew up with the family. She's always been around, and he's even travelled across the USA with her. There was a friendship prior to our relationship. Well, when we first started dating, we met her one day at a monster truck rally, and she edged her way between us and got mad he didn't sit down next to her. She put her arm in his. I immediately got shoved aside, but he got up and sat next to me and kissed me. She made me uncomfortable in that instance and ever since, I've been uncomfortable with them doing stuff together. He used to go to movies with her and take her to dinner. He doesn't now. Now that we got married last May, she hasn't been in touch at all, but the other day, she began writing him again. Should I worry? Should I give him an ultimatum? She has been a friend some 30 years or more. I do feel threatened by her...but I know he isnt' interested in her the way she is with him. She has never been married...
