There's a big full colour spread picture in the Independent or the Guardian of the rioting in Ramallah, between Hamas and Fatah.. In the midst of the shooting and the carnage there's a man who's acting as a human shield to protect his children. You can see he's scared and they're terrified and crying. Does it matter he's a muslim, do the politics of that troubled state of Palestine matter at that moment in time..I only see a human being trying to save his loved ones?!

It's a sad, terrible, inhumane thing. All violence. And human beings are stupid idiots for ever coming to violence.

On the other hand, certain fighting factions also arm their young children with guns and send them out to shoot at 'enemies.'

People create their enemies. If we didn't have such overlaid hate-inducing social and religious creations, we would be able to live and let live.

Oh, and there's a butterfly trapped in a spider's web. There's a red fox torn by a huntsman's pack. There's a black-wing gull with a broken back.

yes it is a sad state.

I do feel sorry for the innocent people involved. Though it dose beg one question. If the Palestinians cannot control there own factions from killing each other how on earth can they be expected to negotiate a peace with Israel?

I agree with you 100%, Sting. For anyone with a shred of human compassion, that picture should just about bring a tear to their eye, since it makes us realize that deep down at our core we are the same and hold the same things dear and precious to us. Nothing is as noble as a man risking his life to save his family. Maybe some day we will learn this.

The majority of human beings just want to get on with their lives peaceably.

There is a minority who choose to mess it up for everyone else.

War, violence..... these things are WRONG.
